There is so much animosity in this world that WE tend to forget about the good things in life.  I, myself struggled my entire life with challenges that I faced everyday and also finding my true path.  It was very difficult working in places I had no interest in, not to mention my disorganization, procrastination, frustration, depression, low self-esteem, insecurities and the chaos that followed.

If I were to write about all my bad experiences, this blog would never end.  So, I'll get to the point.  It's almost "Thanksgiving", so this is the appropriate time to ask.  I have selected six things that I'm thankful for. So, whenever I feel blue; I think of these six things.   Here they are:

1.I still have my mother
2. I'm in good health . . . I have all of my limbs and no debilitating disease
3.I'm creative artistically and in many ways
4.I am a member of FAB40, (I have met many nice and talented ladies)!
5.I have a job (so I could pay my bills)
6.I have a roof over my head (I'm not homeless)

What 6 things are YOU thankful for?

    • I’m grateful for so many thing and in random order here are some of them:

      1) My grandparents who had a significant impact in my life.
I’m lucky to have grandma and grandpa still living and recognizing me when I call and visit

      2) My parents who made me who I’m today

      3) My husband that understands and supports my crazy ideas.

      4) My wonderful, loving kids that now teach me. I guess we just experienced a role reversal

      5) All of my girlfriends that continue to inspire me, allow me to vent, but all at the same time keep me focused on whats important and push me to move forward.

      6) And even though I sometimes complain about being type A, I’m happy that I’m never bored, I’m passionate about everything I do, and I always look for new things.

    • I am thankful for my health, that I have no serious illnesses.  I am thankful that I still have both of my parents and all of my siblings.  I am thankful that I have a husband that loves me for who I am and he spoils me rotten.  I am thankful for a roof over my head and food on the table.  I am thankful for all my friends.  I am thankful that I do not have to work but work because I want to (and the job I have, I can work when I want to...I love my job)  I am thankful that i can travel whenever and whereever I want to.......wait that is 7...I’ll stop now, but there are plenty more things I am thankful for!

    • What an awesome post!  It’s nice to be faced with answering this question-it helps put things in perspective.

1:  My eyes- Because of them I see the world and the love and goodness in it. Because of them I also see the hatred and this gives me awareness and helps me to be compassionate.

2: My conscious~ It keeps me in check.

3: My heart~ Literally and figuratively.

      4: My family~ They= unconditional love.

      5: My faith~

      6: My freedom~

    • This IS an awesome post! Like everyone, it’s hard to narrow it down to 6, but here goes:

      1. GOD
      2. My family and friends
      3. Having food and shelter, which seems to be A LOT compared to some.
      4. Having the time that I did with my Mother and still having my Father.
      5. Hope
      6. I’m thankful for each and every day that the LORD choses to wake me to see a new day.

It really is hard to pick just 6. I am thankful for SO MANY things in my life. I would like to add that I’m thankful for all the mistakes and wrong turns I’ve made in my life. As hard as the road has been at times, I’ve learned from each one and gained wisdom and knowledge that have helped me grow into who I am today.estatic
