Boy have the seasons changed here rather quickly. It is actually more like winter this evening....COLD! Brrrr!
I am not complaining, i love this weather...i dislike the heat so i am a happy girl!
Sooo, Just curious....What about you?

What type of weather do you favor? Are you a Summer Hottie? or a Winter Coolie? Or are you a tweener like me? I favor the Equinox times of year rather than the Solstices. Although, for some reason, I love the actual first day of Winter and the first day of Summer.

    • Well...I actually like  fall and spring the best...but if I really think about it..I like all of the seasons.  I do find myself liking the cooler seasons more than the real hot summers.  Down here...between the humidity and the temp...it is just down right miserable.  But I still love where I live though.

The high today was 75...but last night it was like 39.  My windows are up...it’s nice in my house.

Our winters here are pretty much mild.  We rarely have to wear a heavy coat...mainly a mid weight jacket...if that.  I would die if I had to shovel snow everyday and deal with it.  It’s pretty to look at it when we do get it down here...but a day  or so with it is all I want.

      Happy Fall, ya‘all!!

    • LOL...I love it Gwen....“ya’ll“...LOL...

I’m sure the snow is pretty on the lake.  I would love to see that..maybe you can take a picture for us to see when it happens.  I haven’t read the Farmers Almanac this year to see if we might get a little snow.  Bad thing..we usually get ice and I can’t stand ice.

      But I’m with Gwen...

      Happy Fall!!!

    • I’m with ya on the clothes thing Annie.  I get sick of my clothes as well.  I got to wear a fall/winter little jacket today to work that I just love.  It felt good until that training room I was in all fricken day got hot as hell.  Then it wasn’t such a cute and fun jacket to wear.

I love the beach as well...and even in the fall and winter.

    • I find myself loving the beginning of each new season. The fall colors right now are gorgeous and we are getting those clear crisp days that sing “FALL“. Even winter I don’t mind much at the beginning because I am so ready to be done raking the leaves from our very large, very old trees. Now...I am not so very fond of lots of snow. We had a record 177 inches here last winter and it got a bit old...It just makes me appreciate spring all the more!! So bring on the 4 seasons-just don’t overstay your welcome :>)

I thought it was colder than 47 last night...my bad.  But that is the forecast for my neck of the woods...at least it will be a bit cooler tomorrow.  Yeah!!!

    • LOL...the south is really hot in the summer though...and the humidity will kill you...but I know it’s like that in other parts as well.

I think at least where I live...I can experience a little bit of each season.

    • I guess my weather preference is a bit strange, but I love bad weather.  I love storms, rain, thunder, and lightening.  When possible, I open the windows or sit on the patio and experience it close up.  I like ice storms (very infrequent here) and come alive in the winter.  I’m not a summer person and hate being hot.  lisab41, I’m with you although I live in the center of humidity in Louisiana.

    • I am with you about panty hose. I hate those things, so I just wear long skirts. :)
I live in Ga with Mary, and she is so right about the humidity. Even my kids whine and complain in the summer. So - we are moving to Colorado so we can complain about the snow and cold. LOL
Libby, I am a storm lover too. One of the most awesome experiences I have ever had was to fly in a plane through a thunderstorm. It makes me reflect on the incredible power and majesty of God. I am also a tweener, weiner, whatever you want to call it. I can never decide wheter I like fall or spring better. In the summer, I like fall best. In the winter, I like spring best. It is all about perspective. :)

      Sharing Hope,
      Dee Dee

    • WOW! What a great response ladies! I love Fall and Spring...pretty much because of a culmination of reasons you all stated. I believe the God makes fall so beautiful to remind us that dying can be beautiful and that Spring is a sign of eternity and a reminder that death is only temporary...Rebirth is going to happen. But Fall edges in to my favorite spot...for much less deeper reasons....i love the clothes this time of year inspires, i love my blazers, black knit dress and tweed plaid pants and knee high boots, the burgundies, golds and rust colors that compliment nature so well. Also there is nothing like putting on a favorite pair of jeans along with your favorite teams fleece lined hoodie and just kickin around when it is chilly and crisp outside.
I really truly LOVE to cook and make all kinds of stews and crock pot meals with an autumnal theme...with apples, potatoes, ciders, squash, pumpkin...I love it!
Thanks for all the responses...i enjoyed reading them!

    • Dee Dee, flying through a thunderstorm is not exactly what I had in mind when I said I like to experience a storm close up.  I’ll stick to appreciating God’s majesty and power from a lower perspective. But, it takes us all, likes and dislikes to exhibit the tapestry of God’s handiwork, doesn’t it?
