Dark circles under the eyes are an extremely common and distressing issue. Did you know that:

» Dark circles are the second most common dermatological complaint? (Acne is #1)
» Dark circles under the eyes are the most common non-hormonal skin problem
» Dark circles are not caused by stress, all-night work or partying sessions or fatigue

You wake up one morning and they‘re there - the midnight-dark circles - and you look like you’ve gone nine rounds with an expert boxer.

Home remedies for dark circles under the eyes aren’t as fast and effective as dark circle eye creams. But they do have the virtue of being inexpensive and readily available.
Let’s pretend we don’t have extra money for the circle eye cream.

Do you have a tried and proven home remedy?

    • Shut the computer, get off Fab40 and go to bed before 9:30.

    • More sleep, Drink ALOT of water, use a refridgerated soothing eye gel. Caffeine also helps this~ might be why I don’t have this problem! lol!

Some of that can also be hereditary. Get a great concealer. :) Dab. (1/2 shade lighter than your foundation if u use it.)
If it’s severe, see an esthitician.

    • Since Fab40, I seldom go to bed before 3:00 am.  I now look like a panda - great trademark!

    • Is there a vitamin to take or apply. I really shouldn’t drink that much coffee, I’m already a member of insomniac clubestatic

    • I ice my eyes every morning and ponder the day for a couple minutes and, voila! dark circles and bags gone.  I agree that gel eye masks from the refer do the trick too and are certainly more comfortable. WAKE UP!!!

Think about it: We sleep all night long with our head up a bit... gravity takes over and where does the fluid go?

Other factors include heredity (my mum had bags), Hormones, lack of proper sleep (who gets it when you‘re a mommie or in menopause), and not enough water.

Be careful on how you apply your concealor! Sometimes it will make your bags more pronounced! My personal rule of thumb: Green gets the red out; Lavender gets the yellow out; Vanilla hits the spot and ginger (peachy colors) diminishes dark circles.

      Cheers! kelly

    • This is something I actually know something about... Dark Circles are usually just blood pooling under the skin - as in poor circulation. You might want to take a look at this product - www.eyedews.com It has properties/ingredients that improve circulation. Dark Circles is just one of the things they‘re good for. If you‘re puffy in the morning, you can keep them in the fridge for rapid puff relief. Take a look.
