Tonight is Einstein’s senior prom.  And he’s going with two guys.  As a group thing.  And then when they get there they are meeting some girls, who are going as a group.

WTH?

I wait all these years for this night and I don’t get to see him with a date, help him pick out a corsage, nothing.  Sigh.  I’m hoping Beav more than makes up for this moment.  Knowing him he’ll have five dates.  

Last night I fired the chairs of the senior banquet committee after they took it upon themselves to print over a hundred invitations without having anyone on the actual commitee look at them.  This was after they were told at least four times that the invites had to pre-approved.  I pretty much lost it.  This event is a month away and we have no emcee, no program, nobody to burn 134 DVD’s with a video montage on them.  

Thank God there’s alcohol.  

Yesterday I went back to train at the dojo for the first time since my fight.  I’ve announced several times I won’t be fighting again, but my trainer has other ideas.  I need strength and fortitude to resist his insistence that I do that again.  My lungs are still recovering.  Anyways, we are now working on conditioning, which I enjoy.  Plus I assume we’ll be doing a lot more endurance training since that pretty much kicked my ass.  I’m glad I fought though.  And the upside is that if someone ever physically attacks me I know that I could seriously defend myself without even thinking.  That’s a good thing.  

Tonight Beav comes back from his 8th grade to trip to DC/New York.  The house  has been quiet without him, but I do miss him and look forward to seeing him.   Plus tomorow we‘re doing some heavy duty work on the backyard and I need more hands, ha haha.

I’ve got to say that since I’ve been enjoying some real happiness lately it’s hard to find things to blog about.  I guess that’s a good thing.
