Happy Monday everyone.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. We did. Our daughter and grandson kept us VERY busy. On Saturday, we did some shopping and met our daughter-in-law for lunch at Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor.
I don’t know how many of you remember this happy, noisy place-but we have a 21st century re-birth venue at the local mall. It’s everything I remember and a bit more.
Our grandson loved the place, which now serves burgers, sandwiches and pizzas along with all the ice cream.
Me-I had a diet chocolate coke, I was still full from our bagel and brew breakfast!
Sunday, our anniversary we had a potluck multi-celebration: Happy upcoming wedding, Adam’s birthday, 29th anniversary, Sarah and Dylan are in town dinner.
As usual, we had a bit of help from Costco in the way of chicken and veggie/hummus platters. We had fresh chocolate raspberry coffee beans, iced tea, sodas, noodle kugel, potatoes anna, salad, fresh strawberries, ice cream, angel food and German chocolate cake.
Believe it or not-we had chicken and salad left and lots of dessert but not much else!
Today, Sarah and Dylan will help us eat some of the chicken and salad for dinner before we take them to the airport for their trip home.
It was a great weekend, but I’m ready to get back to just doing some writing. They‘re spending part of the day with Dylan’s other grandma.
And now, share what you all did on this holiday Spring weekend!
