As most of you know, I’m looking for a new job and hoping to move back to Northern Virginia.  Most of the jobs seem to be in Washington DC which would be at LEAST two hours away from our current location.

Both take time.  Especially with the current economy, finding a new job is going to take LOTS of time.  But which would you do first?  Find a new job or find a house first or look for both simultaneously?

I should also add that right now, I’m the only one who is working and I’m part-time at that.  When we move back to Northern VA, our bills will most definitely go up, WAY up, but at least I will be closer to work.

My current contract goes until April and it’s a HORRIBLE commute - about 2 hours 1 way.  I would so LOVE to have a job closer to home but there just aren’t any good jobs out where we live.

Thanks for your input in advance!

Diane
