On any given day someone will ask me why am I always smiling there’s a simple explanation however it’s hard to explain. The love of Christ dwells inside of me and even when chaos seems to be all around I can close my eyes, take a deep breath and just smile. Sometimes I smile for no good natural reason, but the longer I smile the sooner a memory comes into focus. You know, that letter you got from that someone special, the success of creating something with your own hands and the act of self-control that was real hard to keep but you did it. That’s just some of the things that Christ gives me that allows me to smile even through persecution.

    • Much love to all you ladies. Our days always have a silver lining and quite often I personally have to take a moment to read, close my eyes and remember that this fight we engage in has one evil spirited entity who manipulates others regularly.

Try as he might, he’s defeated already. REMEMBER THAT!!!!

    • 47, thanks for sharing! I am a smiler too. People always comment. I tell them it is God, not me. I sometimes have ‘stinkin thinkin’ as Granny likes to refer to it... but I still smile. Why? My alternative is to cry, no?
I really do try to have a Pollyanna attitude. There is ALWAYS somebody in a worse place than we are, and we can ALWAYS find something good in every situation. So, even when I am cleaning toilets, I remind myself to be thankful that I have toilets to clean, and don’t have to freeze my hiney off going to the outhouse like my great grandparents did. Or am just thankful sometimes that I have hands and feet that function like they are supposed to. No matter what we face, we can find something good, something to be thankful for, and we can smile. Proverbs says it is good medicine, and science backs that up. Happy people are healthier. Let’s keep smiling! estatic
