When you hear the word widow, what image do you conjure up in your mind? For many people it is an image of a little old lady with grey hair and a cane? Do you envision someone who looks like your grandmother?  Until I reconnected with a childhood friend who had recently lost her husband to cancer that was the image I had in my mind. My view changed. I now realize widows are often young, vibrant and beautiful.

What are the unique legal and financial challenges these women must address? How do they handle the rollercoaster of emotions? Maintain some semblance of status quo in the other aspects of their lives; children, career?  Create a new norm and move forward? Carole Brody Fleet the award-winning author of "Widows Wear Stilettos: A Practical and Emotional Guide for the Young Widow", says "most widows do not know where or to whom to turn for help..."  Carole will answer that question tomorrow, Tuesday March 30, on What Now? With Laurie Giles,, 4 Est., 3 CST, and 1 PST
