Ever take a trip without a map? I have & it had considerable challenges! Unless I just wanted to take a drive & didn’t care where I ended up. . .it was best to take the map with me.

Bet many of us don’t think about life’s journey as needing a road map. More than anywhere else, this is the place where we need a “map“. Maxwell (as in John) told a huge audience in Dallas several years ago - that he does a daily map! A “daily personal life plan“. Imagine that! His daily plan flows from a continual updating of his overall personal life plan.

I never did that! A personal life plan. I just let life happen - unfold as it were & took it as it came. But over the years, I’ve gotten a wee bit wiser (especially after listening to Maxwell for 2 hours trying to do shorthand as he went from subject to subject). I’ve looked down the ‘tunnel’ and made some plans that form a ‘roadmap’ for the next several years that I plan to hang around on planet earth!

Just as we wouldn’t start a long trip to an unknown destination with no clue what might confront us on the way - we ought not travel life without a map as our guide. ‘Tis true - we can’t anticipate everything, but we certainly can have all the essentials in our ‘travelin’ bags in order to make adjustments as needed!

This is especially true if we are entrepreneurs. Us folk who get an inspiration & have the courage to put it into action (trust me it takes mucho courage!). When the entrepreneurial spirit takes us into our own business, then we definitely need a map! And I don’t mean just a biz plan, financial proforma and all that other ‘stuff‘!

I mean a strategic plan aimed in the direction of our desired outcome!

Did you realize that we can map out a plan for our SUCCESS? Maxwell says we can. In fact, one of his most well read books is “Roadmap to Success“. So successful is the book, that the fellow did an accompanying workbook.

Here’s an AWI/STATION plan! We want to help women - everywhere - find their unique roadmap to success. The Maxwell workbook of the same name is an excellent TOOL for doing so. Here’s our plan:

a) Janet Flynn, our Executive Trainer, will be offering a series of workshops using Maxwell’s Roadmap to Success workbook as our guide,

b) Indy AWI women will have an opportunity to be part of the series (at an additional charge of course since we’ve contracted Janet to provide the series),

c) AWI STATION women will be able to participate in the online series as soon as the ADOBE tool is in place. First offered to “Premier Members” - then to others who want to participate on an event-to-event basis.

We don’t want women who as yet don’t have AWI Face2Face neighborhoods in their geo area, to miss out on this opportunity! As we move along in the planning, we’ll keep everyone updated on time, place, & all other pertinent info.

With a 2009 motto of SUCCESS. . . it’s fitting to help us learn how to “map” a path to achieve our fondest dreams & dearest hopes. In preparation, we recommend you purchase a copy of Maxwell’s “Roadmap To Success” from Amazon (you can do it here at the AWI MarketPlace & we get a little credit as well as a few pennies!).

Success doesn’t just happen! It may seem so to those of us looking from the outside. Achieving what is SUCCESS to each of us comes with careful planning & consistent commitment to each step on our path.

Make this a day when you decide to set in motion a map for the journey to a destination called “SUCCESS“.

Much love,

Linda, a fellow journeyer
