its is always good to workout on a every close to empty stomach if it is for weight loss purposes. Reason being because the less food in your system to burn of the more your body will concentrate on burn excess or stored calories and therefore speed up stored calorie burning and fat loss. However, if u have not eat'n at all before your workout, it would be good to eat a small amount of healthy carbs such as nuts, whole grain crackers, power bars... so that your body has enough energy to sustain you through the workout and not allow youto burn out (lack of food before workout can cause low energy levels, nausa, lightheadedness and so forth)
