My parents arrived Friday and left this morning. They wear me out. We just try to pack lots of stuff in the time they are here. I see them about once a year so we try to make the most of it and thus leaving me needing a day or two to recover.

They came to help me celebrate my birthday which was Saturday. It was a good weekend. Michael had to work though most of the weekend. He apologized about a million times. We have our own business so often business gets put first. And I understand that when we have bills to pay. But still felt horrible. But really he spent good quality time with us.

Sunday we took a day trip. I live in a beautiful state and it is always a pleasure to show it off. So we went on a trip, took lots of photos, had a picnic and just a wonderful day.

Now I need to get some work done but then I think I will take it easy the rest of the day.

    • Isn’t it funny how the people we love the most can wear us out the quickest?

I’m glad you got some quality time with everybody for your birthday, and just in general.

Happy belated birthday, by the way!

    • Hi Darby,

It’s true. I live in California so when family comes to visit from Nebraska, it’s a week of constant running around and one the first places they want to go to is Disney Land. I live in the valley so driving there can take up to a couple of hours with traffic.

Hollywood Blvd. is the other tourist attraction and it’s  such a mess that I usually just drive them through and detour to Santa Monica instead.

What part of Colorado do you live in? I was there in May for a wedding in one of the resorts that is about an hour and half outside of Denver. My husband and I flew in Friday afternoon to Denver and drove up to the resort, attended the wedding on Saturday and then we drove back to Denver on Sunday to hang out w/ my family  were kind enough to drive 4 1/2 hours from Nebraska and flew back to Burbank Monday morning.

      Happy Belated B-day.
