Reese Witherspoon, AVON's Global Embassador, is once again teaming up with the AVON Foundation on Improving the Lives of Women Globally in their crusade against Domestic Violence – Page 124(also featured in my website) is the New Empowerment Necklace $5.00 each - $4.11 from the sale of each necklace with be donated to the AVON Empowerment Fund -  #307-363.  The Empowerment Bracelet is also available again this year $3.00 -   $2.25 from the sale of each bracelet will be donated to the AVON Empowerment Fund-  Small(6") #397-650; Large (7 ¼") # 550-820.   However, if you purchase the Empowement Necklace, you will be sent the Empowerment Bracelet for FREE!

On a personal note – I purchased the bracelet last year for myself, my daughter and my step-daughter. Each piece comes with an educational pamphlet. I feel this was a great way to explain to both my daughter and my step-daughter what can happen in a relationship, and to empower them to know what to do in a situation whether they are directly involved; or if they are indirectly involved and know of a friend who is a victim of domestic violence.

Please help end violence gainst women!  Contact your AVON Representative.  If you don’t have a representative, please contact me.  I will be more than happy to assist you in this great cause!

    • Thank you for being an advocate against Domestic Violence.  There is a group here but it is private due to the nature of privacy.  It requires Premium Membership.

I do not have personally experienced but I encountered a friend that was beaten up by her husband and she ran to my house for refuge.  I housed her a few weeks and she then went back.

It is horrible and I know the shadow that keep chasing after them even if they get out of a relationship.  It takes a lot of time and much more to heal.  I remain prayerful to the victims and the abusers.

    • Hi Chinadoll, just upgraded today.  I’m glad there are groups out there.  It is so important for women to be informed.  I pray for your friend.  I pray for the abuser as well - obviously when a person acts in that manner - they need help as well.  When I was a member of Parents Without Partners, I encountered 3 women that had left or were leaving very bad situations.  Best thing is to get out.

Hi Mybabygators, glad you are a survivor and doing your part to support the education of women.

      Thanks for sharing your stories.
