The older boys finished up their schooling for the year!  Picked them up early on Friday and decided that for lunch they’d create their own “hot pockets“.

Easy, kid-friendly to both make and eat and fast.

Now I have an old-fashioned sandwich maker, but obviously you can easily do these on a panini press or even the oven!

Simply get some of those traditional packs of refrigerated dinner roll dough containers (i.e. crescent) and put out some of the favorite fillings of the moment.  For Dylan and Aidan it was:

smoked turkey
cheddar cheese

Afterwards, Aidan (my budding chef) said they would’ve been extra yummy if I had some sun-dried tomatoes.  Dyl, on the other hand didn’t even want the cheese.

Make sure you don’t over stuff the dough and cook until dough is done.  For my utensil it was a mere 3 minutes.

These would also be great for a quick supper w/ salad.

Not much else to add this week as my little pup threw out her back again (like mother, like DD) and she also had a bit of an eye issue-so I spent a lot of the week at my doctors’ appt. and the vet!  Poor little girl is on my lap now.
