Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  The evening couldn't have been more perfect – classic early Fall with cool temps and a stunning sunset.  Over 200 women gathered together for a cause they care about – the Women's Resource Center.  Add to that great food, wine and entertainment – you've got a recipe for a wonderful time.  But it went so much further than that.

To me it felt like one of my retreats, synergy and connection on steroids!  There was such a feeling of love there.  Something fell into place, in that magic way that things unexpectedly can, and everyone was lifted.  Perhaps it was the new director, Liz Mora, who has stepped up to guide us onward to a new level of success for the community.  Perhaps it was the way the weather gods, after grumbling all afternoon, turned the sky to passion pink to celebrate the women.  Perhaps it was winning the award.

To be nominated had already given me a fresh sense of being seen for who I am and what I do.  Clients had sent me their nomination letters – they were so magnificent and I was filled to the brim (and overflowing) in gratitude.  (My thanks to all of you who sent them in!) So I felt, before Friday, that the prize was already mine.

But something happened that took me even further Friday night. Something I couldn't have expected or anticipated.  Standing in front of all those Goddesses, I felt I was truly home.  I knew the rightness of feeling proud of myself and all the years of work and commitment, and proud that I live in such a special community.  When I spoke, I felt Spirit was with me, the words flowing with ease.  It was comfort like the smell of homemade peach pie.  It was right, like the feeling you have when your intuition is strong and focused.  It was joyful, like the light of the sun dancing on Turtle Lake.

I accepted the Extraordinary Woman in Business Award for 2009 with a very full heart.  And I know there is more here for me, as I reflect over the remainder of this year: more dreams to vision, programs to create and women to serve and connect with.  There are True Lives waiting to be born.

In gratitude,
Victoria
