My practice is focused exclusively on Plastic Surgery of the Face, Eyes, Neck, and Nose. Our face is important to all of us. It is what we show the world on a daily basis.  Therefore, I have devoted 100% of my professional energy to helping individuals enhance the form and function of this region of the body.  

After completing residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, I completed a Fellowship in Advanced Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  As a board certified and  Fellowship-trained specialist, I have the opportunity to devote my entire practice to helping individuals meet their aesthetic and functional goals.  

In my private office, at Carmel Valley Facial Plastic Surgery, we focus on state-of-the-art cosmetic (surgical/non surgical/preventive) procedures.  As an active teaching staff member at UC San Diego and San Diego VA Medical Center, I train surgical residents and medical students in the operating room, focusing mostly on reconstructive facial procedures.  

Intent on advancing the field in order to deliver safer and more natural results, I have published over 20 research articles, co-authored 2 textbooks (Facial
Rejuvenation: A New Paradigm (Elsevier 2009), and A Guide to Anti-Aging Cosmetic Procedures: A Practical Reference for Patients and Physicians), and presented research findings  at over 40 scientific national and international meetings.  

I feel passionate about educating the public in an effort to empower them to make informed and safe decisions when considering cosmetic facial procedures.

I frequently speak to medical and community groups as well by the media about various topics related to Facial Rejuvenation,
Rhinoplasty, and advanced non-surgical techniques.
