Gool Bugwadia

I am a passionate writer with a compassionate heart. Writing has been my forte since the school days. I was born and bred in the metropolitan city of Bombay, India. I have been reading voraciously all throughout my school and college years.  

On entering college, I periodically contributed to College Magazines while pursuing Masters in English Literature from St. Xavier’s College, University of Bombay. During Post Graduate studies at the University, my writings diversified to span a wider spectrum of society. I tackled social issues especially pertaining to youth.  

As a writer, I delved into the field of investigating reporting having taken a short course in Journalism. I interrogated students and researched profusely in the area of Drug Abuse amongst youngsters. As a free-lance writer to local Women's Magazines—-Eve's Weekly and Femina, I contributed a series of articles to combat the evils and dangers of Drugs.

As a teacher at two of the most prestigious schools and later as Director/ Counselor/ Teacher at 'My Own Nursery,' my writings became more and more inspirational both for the children and their parents. I completed a Montessori Training Course in Early Childhood Education at Princeton- New Jersey, U.S.A. which brought me wider recognition in the field of education and writing.  

However, for me the defining moment came when I was totally involved as the Editor-in-chief of the Official Publication of Make-A-Wish Foundation, India. It was most fulfilling and gratifying to write articles and stories revolving around children battling with life-threatening illnesses.  

Currently, having acquired Permanent Residency in U.S.A. my passion for the written word continues undiminished. I was honored when our fabulous Yana invited me to join this site. I hope to make a significant contribution here in the field of Parenting.
