Sandy Glover

Private Investigator

I found myself a divorced single mom in 1976 with two young daughters, the Atlanta police department was hiring so I thought, “what the heck” and applied.  I remember being shocked when I was hired since I had never even held a gun. Even fighting the “Good ole Boys”
attitude that men have, I loved the job. Soon after graduating from the academy, I met a good looking detective, Allen Glover, who I married a short time later.  We were blessed with yet another daughter. During my career, I worked a “beat“, spent time in undercover (that was something else) went on to be an accident investigator then a detective obtaining the rank of Lieutenant. I was forced to take a medical retirement in 1996 after a auto accident and we moved to Florida.  Sadly Allen died in 2003 and again I found myself needing to go to work.  My family said, “Why don’t you put your investigation skills to work and become a PI?”  Again, I thought, “What he heck!”  After getting my license, I applied and got an agency license, thus Gold Shield Legal Investigation, Inc. Gold Shield offers professional investigation services to the legal community as well as pre-employment background checks.  Early this year I launched Confadate.  Naturally I gladly accept male clients, my main focus is women’s safety issues.  I am a proud member of the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) Florida Association of Licensed Investigators,(FALI) Florida Association of Private Investigators,(FAPI) and various other professional organizations.  I attend as many training seminars as possible a year to keep current with what is going on in the profession and ever changing laws.
My favorite sports are football, NASCAR, and baseball. I am active in ocean mammal rescue, ocean preservation, and sea turtle rescue. I am member of St. James Episcopal Church, the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce, and other civic groups.
