About me

I am a 44 year old, outgoing, self-motivated, Christian mother of three children, ages 9 1/2, 12 1/2 and 16 1/2. This November, my husband and I will be celebrating our “20TH” wedding anniversary. We were high school sweethearts and fell in love! Many years later, we got married in the Little Church of the West Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. For over 20 years, I have been a Licensed Cosmetologist specializing in Aesthetic Skincare, Makeup Artistry and Spa Treatments. I have a passion for pampering, I am a true makeup junkie and I love working in the beauty industry! Another passion of mine is writing, which I had always loved since I was a young girl. Presently, I am pursuing article writing for publication and I enjoy writing about topics pertaining to inner beauty, body image, spa treatments and finding our identity in Jesus.

      Beth Moore, Charles Stanley, Stormie OMartian and Karen Kingsbury are some of the authors that I have continually enjoyed reading. Also, I love a great fiction story to get all caught up in reading, especially when it is hard to put it down! In addition, I
      enjoy motivational and inspirational books, reading faith-based books, alternative medicine and wellness topics, marriage, parenting, female issues and books relating to the beauty industry. I love to read and it is my way to unwind and relax with a cup of tea!

      I love the groups Mercy Me, Casting Crown, Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Jars of Clay, Barlow Girls, Amy Grant, Point of Grace, Twila Paris, Bethany Dillion, Rascal Flat, Carrie Underwood, Kevin Chesni, Sugarland, Brad Paisley and I am open to just about any music, especially upbeat music to dance to.

      I love StarBucks latte’s, waterfalls, the beautiful colors and season of Autumn and the Spring, the first fallen snow, playful puppies (especially bull dogs!), going to craft shows, family gatherings, Christian retreats, alternative medicine, health & wellness, going to the beach, dark chocolate, buttered popcorn, date nights with my hubby and spending time with my children. I love everything imaginable about the beauty industry! I am a professional Cosmetologist/Make-Up Artist and I have a passion for helping others look and feel better about themselves. I had the opportunity two years ago to go on my first outreach trip. I went with nine other Christians to Louisiana to minister to the victims of the Hurricane Katrina and Rita. The missions group is called CONVOY OF HOPE, with the purpose to reach out to individuals and families who have experienced disasters, lost their homes and are in need of help. For one week, the outreach group that I was with participated in volunteer work of painting houses, construction work, organizing and bagging non-parishable food for the food drive. On my final day, Convoy of Hope had a big event for the community. Convoy of Hope provided children’s games, prizes, clowns, live Christian music, free food, free groceries, free haircuts, free medical screenings and the opportunity to receive prayer from a ministry team. As a Licensed Cosmetologist, I volunteered to provide free haircuts. It was a memorable and wonderful experience that I am honored to have been a part of to reach out and touch the lives of others in a positive way.
