I am a single mom of a wonderful 20 year old girl.  Divorced for 12 years it was important  to be strong for my daughter during the initial painful divorce years.  I’m proud to say that my daughter is an honors student, a very talented and caring person.  She is the treasure in my life.

I work as a paraprofessional (fancy name for teacher’s aide) at an elementary school in a diverse community.  Helping students in the classroom as well as tutor children who struggle in reading and math is my passion. Every school year I learn new reading and math strategies and this is how I develop as a teacher’s aide. The other part of my job as a recess supervisor is the hardest and most stressful because of the daily abundance of behavior problems.  Fortunately, the smiles of the children and their hugs keeps me going.

My nationalities are Japanese (mom) and Phillipino (dad).  Although born and raised in Japan, I’ve lived in Seattle long enough and consider it my hometown.

Shopping is my favorite pastime.  Browsing is what I usually do and clothes shopping is a disappointment because they don’t fit me right.  Starbucks is my addiction.  Vanilla lattes and frappucinos are what I love.  Recently I registered for a Starbucks rewards card and now the flavored syrups and occasional drinks are free.

My daughter found this site for me. I hope to get to know and develop friendship with members around the world, especially in Washington state.
