I’m here because I need to be able to talk to other women about what I am going through and where I’m going.  I’ve been menopausal for nearly 4 years now, but most recently my symptoms have turned a corner into craziness.  I’m trying to embrace this new phase of my life in a positive manner, but the intense anxiety is almost more than I can bare.  I do not want to resort to HRT if at all possible.

Besides my new found insanity, I consider myself a cheerful, positive person.  I'm happiest when working towards a personal goal and then achieving that goal.  I love hearing human success stories; they inspire me.  Laughter really is the best medicine, so I laugh as much as I can.  Often misunderstood, I am the ultimate outgoing introvert.  When required, I socialize extremely well but I ALWAYS prefer being home.  Saturday mornings are my favorite time.  There’s nothing more relaxing than sipping on a cup of coffee, meandering through the house dressed in my pajamas; no obligations, no people, no drama.

I have two beautiful children who are now grown, but they will always be my babies.  My daughter lives 3 hours away and my son lives in the other direction, 3 hours away.  Every spare moment is spent being with them and creating special memories, especially with my grandchildren.  I have an incredible man in my life who helps me stay grounded.  I honestly don’t know what I would do without him.  We live a very charmed life in Washington State. My family is my Universe.
