I am first a content wife of 29 yrs, mother of 6, and grandmother of 1 (yeah, somehow it just doesn’t roll off the tongue, yet). Second, I am sooo glad to be this age and NOT a young person today. You couldn’t pay me enough to want to be 25 again. (You can try!) I married into the Arabic culture and have learned so much and know such interesting people. I have picked up the beautiful Arabic language purely out of desire, which has impressed everyone I speak with, and, let me say with all modesty, myself, when they point this out. YAY, me!!!!!!!!!!

My activities? As in “ME” time? My activities include chauffeuring my kids to THEIR activities. On the other hand, I still have NO activities to call my own. (yes, a bit pathetic). This must be remedied!
Umm, I do lots of dinner parties as we have such a large cast of friends, especially now that we have moved back to the Emirates.
The Thorn Birds when I was in high school; I actually read alot of period romance novels by Bertrice Small & others during those crucial formative years & passed everything I’d learned on 2 my friends. I waited for the next Jackie Collins novel like people wait for Harry Potter. It was all girls’ catholic school & looking back, was one of the best times of my life. Most recently, THE KITE RUNNER; A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS; LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA; THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES; GIRLS OF RIYADH; FRENCH WOMEN DON‘T GET FAT; THE ALMOST MOON; I FEEL BAD ABOUT MY NECK; EAT, PRAY, LOVE. So many others I WANT to read are on my Amazon wishlist.
Mostly old school, meaning REAL music that had words that made sense, like “Neither One of Us Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye” by Gladys Knight. Al Green, Sade, EW&F, Lou Rawls, Teddy Pendergrass, and Smokey. You know, the people who could SING!! But my kids have introduced me to some hip hop I like; some High School Musical, & I like IL DIVO. Anything I know the words to, is on in my car. I only sing Fergie, Pussycat Dolls, Nelly & all the supersexy stuff when kids are out of car. AND I sing it loud, people!!
who has time for “hobbies?” ok. I like shopping (hobby?), reading; I love international travel (w/o the occasional hassles, though); I am very artistic, yet cannot draw a stick figure; decorating and coordinating anything!
Right now, I’m very interested in being an exemplary mother-in-law, whatever that is. (IF anyone knows, please drop me a line!) Also, getting my last 4 kids that are still at home, RAISED! That’s 2 boys and 2 (count ‘em, 2!!!) girls.
