About me
I am a retired police detective from the Metro-Atlanta area. Soon after moving to sunny Florida, my husband passed away forcing me back into the work force. Instead of working for someone else as I have done all of my life, I became a licensed private investigator and opened my own agency, Gold Shield Legal Investigations, Inc. (A2500354,Fl.) Gold Shield conducts investigations for attorneys and some insurance companies as well as pre-employment background screening. Last year my daughter asked me to do a background check on someone she has been “flirting” with online, and it is a good thing I did…this guy had a criminal record for assault and many DUI’s. If this could happen to my daughter, how many women could fall victim to men who are not who they say they are? Thus Confadate. Hello Sandy.. isn’t it strange how many different sites we are able to surf… most by chance. This site caught my eye, because my “first thought” was….. by I’m 51…
and yes, I would have to say my forties sucked…and it wasn’t until this past year in which I took a little time to try and figure me out. I have learned so very much.
I wish to start a completely different career, and when I saw that you are a private investigator, I said..:wow, this woman did it, and I’ve wanted to be one for quite some time now. I have been entreprenurial most of my adult life, but haven’t done what I really really love, and am good at.
Most people say “do you want financial security(if there is such a thing these days), or do you want emotional, passionate “I love my job” feeling….
I always say…...................HOW ABOUT BOTH???
So, there it is, time to get both..

Thank you, I have been blessed to have three daughters and now a Granddaughter to encourge me. I love meeting and corresponding with women both here (in Florida) and online and,hopefully, helping them stay safe.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's death; my condolences to you. But I am so impreesed to hear that you have set up business on your own! Brilliant!
I was talking with a coaching client the other day and she was telling me that her cleaner had a motto' Every women over 40 should be her own boss'. Great phiolosphy. I hav enever been happier since running my own business. Good luck to you.
