Been out of the loop and off the site for a while. Traveled from San Francisco and now in Bozeman, MT. Love that I have friends who are family all over the U.S. of A! Maybe I’ll start to think about putting down roots when I’m 50...well maybe at 60. Attached picture of a Marine in an Afghanistan outpost. The captain of the unit wouldn’t let the sgt. get rid of the puppies born at their outpost. “Nobody f...s with my puppies was his direct order. They re-decorated his gun turret in the middle of the night! Read GIV - the story of a dog and America by Boston Teran - A soldier and his dog!

I was born in 1967 to parents one would assuredly define as “hippies“. We travelled the United States, going from place to place, as my parents took on short term jobs. I was home schooled in the back seat of a powder blue 1961 Apache 10 Suburban, as a nation passed by my window. We lived in funky bungalows, farm houses and faceless apartments. It was admittedly an unusual life, but altogether a rich life, for we were touched by so many experiences. It is probably why to this day I have an unquenchable wanderlust.
I will tell you that Sis is not my birth name. I was never crazy about my given name. I go by Sis.
