About me

At 51, I'm beginning a new career - well, and I guess a whole new life. My husband recently passed away (it was 17 years ago, but it seems like yesterday), and I was having serious coping issues. But I think finally I've got this symphony orchestrated, and all the musicians seem to be on the same page.

It's beginning with the publication of my book, *Vocal Vibrance: The Complete Technique for Singers and Speakers *. The book is available at LuLu.com, or at my my website .

Other major projects. I love animals and finally decided to take some action on their behalf. I keep an up-to-date list of cosmetics companies that do not test on animals. That’s at MyMakeupMirror.com.

And – for no reason at all – I like to write little biographies of the lives of women who have been inspirational to me. I call them Goddesses !

Oh yes – I’m a boomer. That means I’m 51 and still wear black eyeliner and occasionally remember to do T.M. (transcendental meditation, which I learned in my flower child days), and still read the Tarot Cards .

I love getting old(er). Not old, really, but old*er*. Because it’s so much more reasonable. :)

    Thank you so much, Yana!

That’s very exciting about your daughter being gifted at the keyboard! And the singing? A lot of good singers start out having to learn stuff, as opposed to being natural-born singers. But whatever happens with the singing, her piano playing will always be an invaluable talent.

I’m in central Texas. A born New Yorker, “I got here,” as the bumper stickers around here say, “as fast as I could.”

Thanks again, Yana. I look forward to being active on the site, and appreciate your warmth and welcome.

    Namaste,
    Suzann

Oh Suzan….what a wonderful profile you created, what an inspiration.

I would love to get to know you better, where are you located?

My youngest daughter is a great pianist, now she decided that she wants to sing….but she has no voice….ouch…. I know as a mother I’m not suppose to say that, but she hurts my ear when she sings.

Hope to see LOTS of you on our space.
I like your style of writing and a sense of humor.

If you ever want to get more involved with the site please let me know.

    Thanks.
    Yana

p.s. and thank you for your kind words.
