At first my rooftop garden started out with just a single flower pot. It was to big for the house and needed lots of sunlight. At night I’d climb out of livingroom window sit out on the rooftop and watch the world go by..
On an average night I can see people walking about... others coming and going from the movie theatre and a star filled sky is so peaceful. Hearing the vehicles down below feels like escaping the world and that’s when I thought,‘I need more plants! I can still have a garden in the city others do in other parts of the world why not!’
So I started buying more and more pots big, small, long, size didn’t matter. It grows more and more every year. Now I joke with friends,‘I’ll try not to drop a pot on you’ lol
It looks so pretty in the spring time and summer nights are the best. The only downside I have found are storms. My garden means the world to me so when a storm comes we bring them all in and put them on the back porch for safety.
The moral of this garden is. One can leave all that is bad behind them and not have to give up what they love. A rooftop potted garden was just what I needed to feel more at home.
