Ladies,
They say hindsight is always 20/20. So with that being said, is there anything you wish you had done earlier in life that you still want to accomplish even now?
As for me, I wished I had pursued being a sportscaster. I LOVE sports with a passion and am very knowledgeable. I wanted to do it but didn’t feel I would be get hired because I was a woman. Now that I have my own radio show—-I may throw in some sports talk from time to time :)

I can definitely see you as a sportscaster, but you are right, now you can implement it into your radio show.
Without even having to be in the make-up room for hours on end, like you would have had to if you were on tv! : )

Good question. generally speaking I try not to have any regrets 'It's better to regret something that you have done rather than than something you didn't do', is my motto! However, I think I would have kept up my singing and done some performing, as opposed to the 'performing' I do in my seminars!
I don’t think I can get your radio programme over in UK (although will try on line) but good luck with it. As Kendal said, have a sports section on it!

I wish I’d finished my college degree in science and conservation… I’ve looked at it now and even if I finish I’m not sure I could adjust to the lifestyle and lower income. It just seems wrong to spend money and time to go back to school – only to end up making significantly less money. I still may, though. It would be nice to enjoy my career and feel like I make a difference.

I would have pursued a singing career. I sang off and on..mostly in weddings and was later in a small band. I would have loved to record and have my own band and create our own music.

I never had children. I was always busy climbing that corporate ladder, trying to stay one or two rungs ahead of the guys just so I could stay on the ladder. I didn’t get married until I was nearly forty. Then all of a sudden, the opportunity was past. So sometimes, I wonder whom I’ll tell my stories to – and I do have some stories!

As much as I love my 80 year old mom, at 47 I’ve finally stopped taking her advice. Shoulda done that sooner!

I’ve been working on a list.
But now, looking at 50, some things didn’t make the list. Voice over….I would never try fighting my way into broadcasting now. Many of my clients (who only know me by phone) compliment my voice all the time.
I do wish I had left my husband sooner but I wouldn’t have all three of my kids if I had.
The rest I can still do!
I went back and got the degree while in empty nest depression. It cost money, it doesn’t make me more money but it’s off the list.

I always wanted to model and sing. My grandmother was always my biggest cheerleader, but my mom never approved, so I let my dreams fall by the wayside.
Then I got married at 19 to escape home and had my sons right away.
I always wonder how different my life would have been had I not allowed my moms criticism to overshadow my dreams.
But I refuse to live with regret. I don’t have riches, but, there are way too many people out there that would give anything to have the decent life I do have.

Wow, Inakika..we have so much in common. I too was married at 18, got pregnant at 19 and again at 21. I LOVE my boys to death and wouldn’t change about having them AT ALL….but…I would have waited and gone to college to become a vet. But…WHATEVER. I don’t live with regrets either. And Inakika..you do have riches..your boys, family and friends.

I agree with mksactown and inakiki. I have no regrets as far as my marriage and my children, but I wish I would have gone to college and got a degree when I was young. Now at 51 I’m trying to finish just an associates degree that I started 15 years ago when I had a 5 year old and a 9 year old at home. Maybe I will have it finished when it is time for me to retire! My life dream has always been to become an elementary art teacher. I would still love to do that.

I wish I hadn’t waited so long to bring horses back into my life. But, I am loving it now! I love my family, and though the road has been rocky at times, I’d still get married at 18. I was only a few classes away from my college degree, but I too would have made significantly less money in that field. I don’t regret not finishing though. In the end, having a college degree won’t matter – but the time and love investment in my family is eternal and priceless.
I get to be home with my kids, get to help people, and I love what I do. I have a “want to do before I die” list, and I will get to check one of those off next week when we go to Cancun. Watch for an updated avatar – There will be a picture of me riding a horse bareback on the beach, splashing in the waves! Another is to go to the Grand Canyon, and to visit Paris.
I had a scholarship in art that I gave up when I got married. I would like to find time to pick up a paintbrush again one day, but that is for a different season of life.

I played the piano in competitions for years as a kid and teenager. I begged my parents to let me quit. They finally gave up.
IT is so true what the saying is. Use it or loose it. I pull out pieces that I once played so well and dang it, it is hard.
Now I wish my parents would have NOT listened to me. Oh well, I play but not like before. Thankfully I have a piano that I can slide a disc in and it can play itself.

I posted this:
I wanted to play piano, but my mom made me take dancing lessons instead. Ballet and tap – and I hated it. Actually it was the teacher I hated. The year after I persuaded my mom to let me quit, they got a great new teacher. sigh – I put brackets backwards around the word sigh, and it all disappeared. I think I need to learn a little more html!

I wished I’d had enough confidence to pursue radio right after I finished broadcasting school, at age 18. Instead, I got into retail to pay the bills. Finally, went back to school at 27 and went right to work in Cincinnati.

Holistic medicine would have to be my choice…I love studying about how the body works…but traditional medicine sucks to me…I believe in covering all areas..the mind, body and soul and curing or preventing…not treating!!!

I wish I had continued to write poetry and become a poet. I had the gift but at about 21, I stopped using it so I lost it. “It” being the passion I experience as I rushed to get my thoughts on paper. Sometimes it seemed like I couldn’t write fast enought! The thoughts and words just flowed.
Now, I struggle to express my thoughts poetically
