        • Heh. Yeah, she’s more like a yappy little Llasa Apso.

        • Hey, it’s the image of a bitch that she wants to promote.  I know some people think she is being picked on because she is female, but instead of bringing some of the feminine sensibility (calm, the ability to weigh both sides, understanding, compassion) to the campaign, she has decided to out-man the men.  I’m not thrilled with what men have done so far, so I wasn’t looking forward to one in lipstick.

        • Yeah, wtf? Isn’t it anti-feminist to want to be treated special for being feminine?

        • Okay, that’s funny. In the course of implying that I’m hostile, you managed to slip in a snarky, condescending suggestion that I don’t enjoy life.

Here, if it’ll make you feel better:

My all-time favorite you-tube video. Not political (I promise, I wasn’t thinking of Obama when I fawned over this bird, “Einstein“).

        • You know, I brought up this quote or joke on another board on this site.
I am embarrassed that this woman (palin) would put that in her first national speech as the VP candidate.

OH and LC.  Aren’t you happy that women who don’t even know you have and idea just how you will enjoy life more.

LC is bashing no one personally.  WE don’t know each other, I am pretty sure.  (I would so love a dirty martini with you, LC)  So it is not personal.  It is passionate.

LC and others here are making their points.  Sometimes with passion.  This is a big deal and I am so happy there are places like this to discuss it.
You may all disagree but you are FREE to do so.
          Keep the debates going.

        • Still blown away by how the political posts get so much response. It’s really a line by line education…well, opinionated education! But I take a little away from each post and put it in my “things to ponder” file.

As long as everyone plays by the rules (no sand in the eyes and no hitting below the belt), it’s good to see passionate women here….

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion…imagine if we were living in a time when women weren’t?

        • I was so excited to find this website.  I found it right before the Democratic convention.
I was very happy to see some great sharing of issues and ideas.  Very passionate.
Well, One of our members was kicked off this site.
Thanks everyone.  You did a great job of allowing a debate of the issues, etc.
I have been more than offended by ideas posted BUT am very interested and excited by the sharing of ideas.
LeftCoast girl was not the person I was offended by, for the record.
So What I understand about this site is that it is OK to post ideas, as long as they are easy to swallow and not at all controversial.
          Not very flattering women.

        • Lefty, I miss you…

Because Leftcoaster is an intellectual, out of the box, free thinking WOMAN, it intimidated people?  Was she making you think twice about own beliefs?  I think a few women made some derogatory comments towards her.  Is this what we do, make people disappear instead of freedom of speech?  I didn’t want to be bored to death with the usual “girlie” websites focusing on recipes and makeup.  This was a place for all women to debate.  To my knowledge, we weren’t calling names or slinging dirt.  We are all merely discussing our views and bringing light into some misconceptions.

        • Well Silk,
She is gone, Kicked off the site because women on here complained.
This is why, women, the GOP thought it was OK to have Sarah Palin run at VP candidate.  I will NOT slam Sarah Palin on her family values, etc.  I will ask as I have been, why was this person chosen?  Why?
Because she is just like you?  Can YOU run a country?
          SHOULD you?
And because someone challenged your answers to the question you complained and got her kicked off the site and are happy for your “nice” conversations?
          HMMM
I hear that is EXACTLY what Palin did in Alaska.  She got into office (Mayor) and sent letters out to city elected leaders like the sherrif and asked them to resign.
Then bullied them till they did.
          NIIICE.
Again, I will say that I was affended by so many comments here but NEVER tried to get any of you kicked off the site.
Freedoms.  Freedom of Speech.  I did not want to stop the GREAT conversation.

        • At least men have the balls to stand up and debate.  We can’t even do that here.  We piss off a few women and get the boot?  If we were allowed to be dominated by men in the first place, we would have never achieved what we have so far.  We need out spoken, strong women to speak out and lead us forward.  If we want to be treated like men, we need to act like men.  We can’t have it both ways.  Either move forward or hold back. It’s women like Leftcoaster, that stood up for what they believed in that allowed us the freedom to vote.   Now, we want to stifle that?

Why was she chosen?  Isn’t it obvious?  For this exact reason.  To blind side us.  She wasn’t the choice all along.  If she was a man, we would have chewed him up and spat him out already.  It’s new territory.  Why can’t we talk about family values.  Aren’t our family values part of our character?  Don’t we deserve to know the personality and morals of the person who could be 2nd in command of our country?  We are up the butts of every celebrity in this country, but it’s hands off the possible leaders?

        • Wow, you can get someone kicked off this site for voiceing their opionion???? I’m confused who got kicked off? Leftcoaster or denisep22?? If that’s true I’m not sure I want to be a part of this website. We can agree to disagree but to get someone kicked off shows an immaturity that I find more offensive than someone who bashes me or my beliefs before they know anything else about me. Is this Survivor???? Big Brother????? Come on ladies, we are better than that!!

        • I emailed Yana also.  I don’t know who booted her.  Ladybrett told me Leftcoaster got kicked off.  I was having trouble logging in yesterday.  Maybe it was just a site glitch?  I don’t know how to contact Leftcoaster directly.  Maybe Yana should contact her and clear it up?

        • She also could have decided to leave on her own. I can’t believe she could be kicked off for stating her opinion.
