For us it’s all about the fireworks and cooking out.
If we were back home there would be picnics with family and possibly going p north for the weekend. We have been thinking about getting a cabin on a lake around here so mayb next year......

My little doggies hate them too. I am planning a low keyed 4th of July. Just hanging out at home.
I’m in the “I hate fireworks” category, too. For one my pets through the years have always had great difficulty with them and it breaks my heart to see them so scared. And with asthma, all the smoke in the air from them makes it hard to breathe. In Hawaii they take their fireworks seriously! People were walking out of Costco with huge boxes of them the other day.
I don’t care one way or another about fireworks. I don’t know what Sage’s reaction to them will be, but I don’t think it will be a problem.
We’ll both have the day off and will probably just hang out in front of the A/C. I’m hoping I will get to work Thursday, but we are so caught up, I’m not sure I’ll be needed. Guess I’ll have to bat my eyelashes at my cub a bit and see if I can’t get an extra day of work. LOL!!!

After a very sad and long five days, hub and I are getting caught up on things around here. My dad came down for the funeral and will head back up to the cottage. Son is working a half day today and then he is off to a bbq.
