Call it law of attraction, belief in one’s self, persistence, tenacity, The universe aligning with our heart’s desires, whatever. But I am astounded how this stuff works!

When I made the decision to rekindle my chocolate business I took steps. I listened to the podcasts on this site, I wrote a business plan, I put together a vision board. All of a sudden it’s as if the heavens opened up and took me under their wing.

I won’t go into detail all that has happened but this morning was the topper of all. I have been mulling over buying some new equipment to replace the old. It’s expensive. That’s hard for me to do. But last week I called the manufacturer and made the decision. I would buy the equipment at the end of the month.

This morning I opened my e-mail. There was a promotional offer from the manufacturer of my equipment. I’ve never received an e-mail from these people. I called. I was so excited about this that the young man on the other end of the phone started laughing and said, “well I’m going to make you even more excited. I’m going to throw in a lid for the machine and whatever else I can get in the box. And, also, I’m going to save you $100 on shipping.” I was ecstatic! My total savings is roughly $500 on something I was going to buy in the first place!

I’d love to hear some more stories from other members. Please share how you have benefited from this law of attraction business!

      Thanks for listening
      Cynthia

YES! I am a strong believer in this as well.

Here’s one story for you… several years ago I was walking to a client site to help them get started on a new piece of software. I really didn’t want to go that day because I wasn’t feeling well, had a fever, etc. I went anyway. On the way there, I was thinking how I wished they would offer me a job so I could leave the company I was at. Well don’t you know during a break the head of HR walked in and said she wanted to talk to me. I thought she wanted to discuss the product, but she said “are you currently seeking employment??” ... and then I moved to that company.

On a different note, the saying “be careful what you wish for” applies as well. Sometimes I regret what I wish for because I get that too.

        • I am definitely a strong believer in the law of attraction. Sometimes I tend to fall off the wagon, so to speak, about things that I know to be true…lifes a process. Lately I have been trying to stay really focused on my intentions.
I really believe that this is why Saturday I stumbled upon this site in the first place.

I have been doing a lot of meditation lately and placing my intentions on inspiration and guidance.
Well, Saturday while I was on another site Fab 40 and Beyond’s ad was blinking away on the side of my profile so I clicked on it and here I am.
I have been hooked ever since! I have gotten so much positive feedback and inspiration from different women here.
My life has always been that way as well and so I try to be careful what I wish for because I know I will eventually get it.
What you put out into the universe comes back to you.
That said, always be ready when what you’ve asked for is presented to you.

        • Agreed! And on the same lines, I’m also a big believer in Karma!

My husband and I got onto the bus recently and we couldn’t sit together. So he approached the woman next to me and asked if she would be willing to trade. “You are inconveniencing me!” was her reply and we didn’t get to sit together.

Well, don’t you know that after the bus started moving we found out that the seat in front of the woman next to me was broken. Every time the bus accelerated, the seat in front of her would fall into her lap!

Everyone benefits from both the law of attraction and karma. You just need to be consious of it and you’ll find it everywhere. Then, you just need to be careful with it!

        • So true Annie…lol! At the risk of being in bad karma that was so funny.  I can’t believe she said that to you.  Well, let’s just say she must have been a really bad day and leave it  at that…lol.
Trying to maintain your awareness is something you have to cultivate on a daily basis…

        • Are you guys referring to “The Secret” in particular, or just the law of attraction in general?  I’m certainly one to attest to the fact that the law works, but honestly I believe I’ve been afraid to put it into practice for myself regarding my desire (PASSION!!) to be a midwife.  I tell myself it’s because I don’t have the money for midwifery school; because I can’t take time out to attend midwifery school because it would interfere with my job (and right now, though I’m unemployed and looking, we REALLY need two incomes!); or because I have small children and later in my midwifery career I wouldn’t be able to just drop everything to take off to catch babies, since they don’t tend to be born whenever we think it’s convenient!

Having read your posts, though, some seeds have been planted, and I just want to explore what I’m thinking and feeling right now and see where it takes me.  I’m glad I came across this thread!

        • Hi joyfully——
I am speaking in general about the law of attraction.
Why are you afraid to put it into practice if it is what you believe to be true?
It is scary trying to decide whether to jump into a new venture or not.  But you know that once you really focus your intention toward whatever it is you want the rest will fall in line.
Taking the class may lead you to meeting someone who offers you a job that fits with what you are trying to accomplish. That job may provide tuition reimbursement etc…

Like I said, it’s scary sometimes. I am sort of in the same boat you are in right now.  I am in transition and trying to figure everything out.
Try to stay focused on your intention and work toward your goal.

        • Wise words, almostfive0, I like what you said about intention. And wise decision making joyful. It’s true that we need to be ready for the results when we set the intention and express how we want our life to play out. It is scary sometimes. Gosh, I’ve been afraid so long I’m almost embarrassed to admit it. But something just happened. It feels right in my heart so I guess it is.

I believe it will also happen for you, I want it to.

          Best

        • joyfull09 – You don’t need to push it. If you really truly want it, it will happen. I agree take a class just to get your feet wet. You may find that what you really want is one step beyond. If you force the issue, you may get frustrated as things can take years to happen.

When I was living in the Village (NYC) I had gone to see a friend visiting a relative in a neighborhood on the west side. When I got there I thought to myself “now this is where I want to live.” A couple years later an opportunity fell into my lap to get an apartment there. Before making a decision I looked all over the city (I fought it) for a couple of months and wound up exactly where I had wished for. I didn’t realize until I thought about it in retrospect a couple of years later.

I’m referring to the law of attraction in general. This has been real for me for years.

          I hope this helps.

          Annie

        • Chocolatier:
If you are jazzed about the Law of Attraction…have you read John Assaraf’s new book called “The Answer“? I have recently joined John Assarf and Murray Smiths company OneCoach, where you learn all the tenants of Assaraf’s Mindset, Marketing for Success and the Law of Attraction.  Yes, it is delivered in a very Universal and somewhat non-Christian format…somewhat New Age…but as a Christian, I know of whom Mr. Assaraf is speaking when he speaks of the Universe.  Many people of faith turn away from these teachings because it is New Age…but much of what they speak of is based on scripture and if you are knowledgeable in it you will see it.  But I digress…if you would like to add more to your present success with the Law of Attraction, read Mr. Assaraf’s new book and check out the OneCoach web site.  I have been amazed at the growth I have experienced in just four short weeks and the exponential growth I have seen in my business since learning about mindset and receiving help from the OneCoach team.

It is true you WILL attract the positive if you are living in the positive…these things will come without effort…easily…your success is truly in your subconscious mind.  I would love to see your Vision Board.  Take a picture of it and post it here at Fab 40.  I think I will start a thread for this very thing, along with the post that I wrote last year on Vision Boards.  They really do work!

        • annie123, you‘re absolutely right, and frustration was probably part of why I gave up on the distance course I was taking, in addition to some circumstances/events that in their devastation and sadness continue to affect my life—I’m currently trying to transform that into a positive experience, though.  I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement!

        • shepherdess – I’m smiling while reading your post because I was just thinking of the comparison to religion. I was thinking about this topic again this morning and realized that powerful thinking is so similar to praying. The difference being that praying is aimed toward a particular entity (god or whatever) where as powerful thinking is not particularly aimed. In reality though, they are one and the same.

I hope this doesn’t offend anyone, as it’s really not meant to. It’s just my own interpretation.

        • Morning ladies…I agree shepherdess.
People often close their minds when they here about cultivating your conciousness, awarness, meditation, etc…

          Annie,
Thank you. Being spiritual has nothing to do with religion and it’s not about praying to a certain diety which is fine also.
There are many universal laws and attraction is one of them. I think that most religions are based on these laws.
We are all part of the source and to this source we will return eventually.

          Joyfully,
Part of our mission here is to remember what we came here to do. You are on your right path.  You have a passion for life and guiding it to the earth in it’s human form. Always try to find the lessons in your experiences.

        • Thank you, shepherdess for your post, your book suggestion and your new thread! Later on today after I take my grandaughter home I’ll post my vision board.

No problem for me with the new age style of the book. I grew up in Southern California so the culture around me growing up was very open minded. I like it all!

I’m really looking forward to seeing the vision boards!
          Thanks again

        • Isn’t it amazing..

What we argue for we get to keep..
(be careful what you argue for)  wink wink..

          What falls from our lips..
          Goes into our  hands..

What we speak about comes about!

This world is full of energy

          seeking a place to be..

provide the right energy and you attract

          the same..

it’s all the goodness intended from
          the beginning of time.

          Keep on keeping on Cynthia..

        • Reading all of the posts here are so inspiring.
When I lived in California I worked for the Dept. of Social Services. I hated my job. It was the type of place that inspired Sunday evening dread!
After my oldest son died, I knew that I could not work there anymore. But I did not know what I wanted to do. Except bake cookies.
I used to frequent a local restaurant around the corner from my office called Gails. They had the worst cookies! Before I told them how bad the cookies were, I asked who baked them. Luckily they said they came from Costco. I then told them I could do better. The next week, I brought them a test batch to hand out to customers as a treat. Then I waited. A few days later I had my first order and I was off to the races!
I took a leave of absence and baked full time for them. It got to the point that I could hardly keep up and I would have cookies on every counter and table in the house!
But my husband and I decided to move to Louisiana and my little business took a back seat to the move.
Now, I’m here in Louisiana and I’m not working full time. I don’t know alot of people and I’m kind of lost. But reading what you ladies have written has inspired me to get my business started again. I’m going to name it and claim it and somehow make this happen.
But first I’m going to make a vision board! I can’t wait!
          Thank you, ladies…..
          Ingrid

        • What a great story Ingrid.
I swear this site is amazing. I’m in transition in my life as well and have been meditating daily. My intention while meditating before finding this site had been on finding inspiration, motivation and guidance to help me along my path.
Through this website I have read so many inspiring stories it is just overwhelming…
You think Yana sprinkled crack on this site or something! I don’t know but I think I’m hooked!
          peace.

        • I am so glad I found this group! The mindset here is contagious. I am one of those people who can be very positive, but being surrounded by negative and indifferent all the time really takes its toll.
I really feel like my business is a calling. I am as passionate about it as I am about my family, and sometimes I feel that is wrong.
I would love to sit and share my soul, my experiences, my dreams, but my responsibilities are calling (loudly! LOL)
Balance is my biggest challenge. Keeping all the balls in the air…
I will write more later, and can’t wait to check out the vision board thread!

          Sharing Hope,

        • Its a Quantum Physics theory.  Basically in Quantum Physics you in your mind and on paper create your future and your future self, or the universe and or God insures you have it with the power of prayer.

Its like thinking of the perfect pair of shoes for a dress or wearing a certain style and it comes out that next season exactly and or better than you immagined.

I have always unknowingly used this my entire life.  I make a to do list and write down everything I need to do, everything I need, everything I want for others, and I even draw up ideas as they come to me.. Like one cute idea I had for my shedding cat… I called it a Nitty for my kitty… basically a hair net for my cat to wear.  I should patten it.  The things I needed came to fruition and and some ideas like my Nitty for my Kitty is still sitting on the shelf in my ideas folder.  And did you know every idea you have millions of people think of and only a few will impliment it.  Ive had Ideas that I didnt and couldnt act on and Ive seen others dream them up too and made them real.

Wish upon a star.. dream… pray…. create….and take the steps to make your dreams come true… No one will understand but you.

Somehow, the universe, your future self, I believe its God that helps you.  It will happen.
