Snowflower & The Secret Fan

Some of my girlfriends and I have a “Supper Club“.  We get together once a month and bring assigned dishes that are from different regions or perhaps differnt Food-network stars.  Anyway, last month we added a book club to our supper club!  One of the ladies is going on a two week trip to China in October and she suggested this book called “Snowflower and the Secret Fan” by Lisa See.  OMG!!! I loved this little book.  I am NOT into Chinese culture at all, but this book captured my attention in a big way. It is all about the foot-binding tradition and two families experiences thru life in early China. The main characters are two young girls and their voyage to married life.  UNREAL!! The writers knowledge and writing style really made the book one I could not put down.
