I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and have never ovulated regularly, therefore always having bizarre and irregular periods (21 to 64+ days apart and bleeding for 7–9 days).
Now what seems to be happening is they‘re getting shorter. Like really freakishly short for me. My period started on Friday and I’ve had no bleeding yet today.
Before I’d sometimes get a slow start (light flow a day or so) then heavy a few days and light again at the end. Or the reverse, really heavy for 1–3 days and light for the rest.
I’m 41 but my mom didn’t go through the change until 55. I’m just not sure what to think because I’m the only one in my family with PCOS.
