    • What’s your definition of a good man?

I was talking to a woman asking for her advice and she responded with this ending statement, "He will think of you and your needs before he considers his own".

        • That’s a great statement.  Hmmmm... lot’s of things make up a good man.  To me, it’s him coming home from work and NOT going to the nearest bar (like me ex did everyday).  Being a moral man, good to me, his kids, his family.  I find myself comparing my husband to all the other’s in my life.  In my opinion, my husband is a very good man, he never excludes me to be with “the boys” I’m always invited to come along, some times I chose not to because I want to stay in and have time alone.  No man is perfect, nor is any woman that’s for sure.  But I just know that I’ve got a very, very good manyhappy

        • A man who loves God more than he does you is also a good one, because if a man loves God/Jesus the rest will fall into place. That is just my personal opinion/preference.
On another note, my husband did not always love God more than me. But if I were out there looking that would be my guide because I personally find that they value a woman more than worldly men and all that comes with that mind set.

        • Another piece of good advice from an elderly Aunt, watch how a man treats his moma. If he is good to his mom he will be good to you if he neglets that relationship he will at some point neglect yours. After all that is the foundation of where he learned how to do what he does.

        • I just had this conversation with my hubby. After attending a graduation party, and seeing how alot of other men treat their wives, I came home, gave him a huge hug, and said Thank You!! I am so lucky to have you! He said we were both lucky to have each other. I just can’t believe how some people treat and speak to the ones they love. frown

        • Thanks again. I have a lot to consider when choosing my next mate. I never told you that my soon to be ex is a minister and I thought all the things you mentioned would make a difference but it didn’t. He taught it and preached it but he didn’t live it. He talked the talk but he didn’t walk the walk so I showed him the door.
