Have you ever felt like asking, "If I just had enough energy, I could get everything done?" Or perhaps you've caught yourself saying: "If I didn't feel like I was carrying around an extra person, I would have more energy." Maybe you've told yourself, "If I looked better, I would feel better." Well, Janet Jones used to feel that way, too, until she found Usana products.

"This company gave me a new lease on life," Jones told the Benton Spirit—so much so, that she now has a home-based business marketing Usana products. "These products taught me to eat right, made my skin look fresher, and gave me the energy I needed to get the things done that I need to do," Jones said.

Before she started marketing them, she used the products for three months, so that she would know she was involved with something she truly believed in, and felt confident recommending to others. "The children's vitamins are chewable and fruit flavored with no sugar added," Jones said. "My seven- and 11- year-old sons use them on a regular basis."

When asked why she chose this business, Jones responded, "I love helping people. I especially want to see people be able to make their health better. I'm excited about this product and this business because it has made me healthier, so I know it works."

Jones has been marketing Usana products for over a year now, and only sees their potential getting better. "These products are primarily directed at baby boomers that want to look and feel younger, lose weight, and improve their overall health, but they work for any age group," she said.

The skin care products include shampoo, conditioners, lotions and facial products. The nutritional products include energy drinks, nutrition bars and nutrition meals. There are also a wide range of vitamins, and even toothpaste, as well as products for children, adolescents, teens, adults and the elderly.

Jones is a divorced mom of two who has worked in the Benton Harbor Public Library's Junior Department for the past four years. The Benton Spirit asked her why a single mom with a busy career and two very energetic sons would add something new to her plate. Jones responded, "I believe everybody should have their own business. If you do it on your own and you love it, it will keep food on the table."
