I went out to water the garden this evening and the chickens had already headed up to the bamboo trees for the night. They didn’t like me being there - at all!

        • We hear this all the time. And the idea that roosters just crow in the mornings is not the case. They crow all hours of the day and night.

        • This brings back such awesome memories. We had chickens and rooster growing up back in San Antonio. And yep, you are correct, they crow whenver they want. LOL!

Thanks for the memories Cynthia! heartheart

        • We‘re pretty used to them. And that video was taken at the edge of our yard right by our garden. That’s very close to our bedroom windows. I don’t know these chickens. I used to have a bunch of them that I basically raised and fed so they were very tame. I went to the trees and said goodnight to them every evening. They came out of the trees in the morning when I called them for breakfast. I also had an endless supply of really fresh wonderful eggs. Those chickens are all gone now and these wild ones are not tame.

        • That would drive me crazy too tongue out.  I remember growing up just going down the shore (NJ) and hearing the crickets at night!!  That drove me nuts, too.  I can take birds chirping, but that’s about it.
