I tell you God is soooooooooo good. Let me explain; about a year and a half ago a lady comes into my work to move her dad in our Memory Care Unit for those with Alzheimer/Dementia. As they moved him in I so admired his bedroom furniture I could tell it was of very good quality and very expensive. As I grew to getting to know him as well as her (Sharon) I commented on the furniture and said to her "if ever you decide to sell his furniture, I'd like to buy it!" she said "sure ok I will keep you in mind." Well about three weeks ago she left a note with a phone number for me to call her, now mind you this had been over a year and a half ago and I totally forgot about it. So I get the message from our receptionist and I call her and lo'and behold it was about the furniture, she was moving her dad to a smaller facilty and asked if I was still interested in the pieces? Of course "I am", so she told me when they were moving and asked me what did I want to pay for it seeing they didn't want it for one because the pieces were too big for the room he was going to be in so I quoted a price and she said she'd toss it around with her siblings and get back to me, well she called me back the same day and it was a done deal I got a (7) piece bedroom set for $200.00 , can you believe that!? That's why I said God is good, they didn't have to take my offer because of the quality of the furniture and it is an antique set, but I'm grateful for them not only taking my bid, but also because Sharon remembered me! Favor ain't fair!!!

      I will post pictures later.

        • How awesome, Neicy! 7 pieces sounds like a lot, but you can use a small dresser in your entry way/foyer, a larger dresser in the dining room or kitchen, a night stand in the family or living room as a end table with storage. I’m sure you’ll find ways to use all of it! ;oD

        • Cathie, I already cleaned the mirror and have it hanging in it’s place with the bench sitting right under it. I took some Murphy’s Oil Soap and cleaned the other pieces that I do have here which are the 2 night stands and I have one at my side of the bed waiting on hubby to move the dresser out so he can place his on his side of the bed. I will post pictures soon enough.

        • OK so here are just a few pictures from the 7 piece bedroom set I recently purchased. I'm going to have the bench recovered with a cranberry color fabric, my sister inlaw is going to help me pick some fabric she just had a chair redone.

        • Awesome veneer work on your new furniture, Neicy! The night stands are Gorgeous, I love the rounded front and detail trim!! Love the bench too... but not the mirror over it. It’s too big for that narrow wall and too ornate above the ornate bench. It’s too much “ornate” and that makes it overwhelmingly ornate, so just too much in one place and no softer touch of some plain ol’ modern lines and neutral colors. And I actually like the neutral color of the bench upholstery.

Neicy, I love you.... but you Got to get rid of the gift bag next to the bed when you are feeling better. LOL  That way you can move the night stand closer to the bed. ;oD

        • I know, Neicy, every time I make a change with something new added, I have to look at it for awhile to decide if it’s going to work together or not, and decide what to get rid of or relocate. It’s a process that takes time.

Forgive me for trying to decorate your home while I wait for my new home .... if the X ever buys me out so I can move! My latest purchase is buying new flatware and new dishes that says, “Cathie“. ;oD  I’ll get to the sofa, arm chair and bed I want when I can finally move. I
have to know the size of my new living space to make those decisions.

Meanwhile... I am a bit envious of the Beautiful furniture you got such a good deal on but so jazzed about my new dishes and flatware. LOL
