Today I delivered chocolates for a trunk show in Wailea. The clothing designer, Lisa Letarte Cabrinha, makes high end bathing suits, cover ups and other resort wear. She greeted me with a smile and a hug and then said the words I dreaded “Oh, let’s get you in a dressing room”
NOOOOO!! Not a bathing suit!!!!
I made some lame excuse about having to get back up the hill, left the chocolates with her and bolted for the door.
Then I started thinking. Maybe just maybe some day I could lose enough weight to actually buy something from this really wonderful and talented designer. Her customer list reads like a who’s who - Beyonce Knowles, Cindy Crawford, Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz wore one of her suits in the movie “Charlie’s Angels“, she does the swimsuits for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
So I have renewed motivation. Maybe not too realistic but a girl can dream. In the meantime, her clients are enjoying my chocolates.

Maybe I can help motivate you? Don’t wait till 60 to lose weight, it takes longer for our skin to “tighten” up again, even if it’s just 20 pounds, and you will be grossed out by lhe extra skin. ;oD
And, muscles look good on a woman.

I let myself go for too long taking care of my twins and working full time and then oh yeah i have a great husband also who gets put on the back burner when my esteem was down and i was so tired and busy...
