I started college last year when I turned 40. That was a noble yet insane idea. Probably should have just ate a cake instead. The plan is to be a teacher when I grow up. Kinda scary eh‘? I work full-time as a Paraeducator, have 2 teenagers, and I’ve been married to Robert for going on 19 years. I love God, America, and my family.

      Tell me about you!

        • Hi, I would like to commend you on going back to school at our age. What I mean is it’s sometimes difficult to do if you haven’t been enrolled for a long time.

Wow, and you have been married to the same man for that long? Excellent! You seem to have a lot of blessings in your life.

I don’t have kids I do have my two cats whom I consider my family. I did all my schooling in my 20’s when I had the energy to do so. I have an AA in Social Services and one in Youth Care. I no longer work kind of retired early.

How do you go about putting some pictures up? I am new to this site and trying to learn to do some of these things.

        • I’m 49 and also going back to school for the third time since age 18.  I went to a four-year college for business the first time, had my first of four kids immediately after graduation so never really used that degree, got a medical transcription 2-year degree back in 2003, thought I could do it from home but found out I had to work in a clinic or hospital for a couple years and then would be able to work at home, couldn’t do that at the time since I had an infant and a toddler at the time, so I’ve been doing entertainment transcription since then.  Now I’m going to school for medical lab technician.  Last year was my first year, and I’ll get my 2 year degree in May of 2016.  I may continue on and get the 4 year degree for medical lab technologist since there are no jobs in our area, and I will have to move to get a job, and my 15 year old wants to finish school here.
