        • You know, it happens. And for us to judge her for being herself and over weight after publicly losing it is not right. Would you want someone telling you that you let yourself go? Whether it’s bad hair day, or your wearing baggy clothes. We can all look crappy somedays, it might make you feel better, to somehow strip her of her humanity, but really, you just make yourself look.....you know.

        • Because she is no longer an image that Hollywood finds suitable, she’s “let herself go“?

Looks to me like she’s happy with herself and being a mom.  (I assume that’s her child’s hand hanging onto her in the photo.)

I think it takes a lot of guts for someone like her to be who she really is instead of what the glamour magazines expect.

        • I feel badly for her. I lost 45 pounds several years ago, and have gained 10 of it back. I can see how easy it would be to be back right where I started from. I hope she figures out why she’s so compelled to eat more than her body needs.

        • Wow!

The only problem I have with Kirstie Alley letting herself go is that she lead women to believe she was there for them and going thru the same thing and if you join Jenny you too can lose weight. Then gains weight! Not just a few pounds either. All the weight she lost. Then she goes on Oprah again and says she’s got something else coming out to help lose weight.
It’s ok to be human, it’s just not ok to play on our emotions and make money off of it.
Otherwise I liked her acting just fine...

        • Shes Human just like us, she has her bad times and good times, Just because shes a celebrity and everyone expects her to always look good and be thin Is I am sure stressful on her.It seems to me she Is just living a normal life and having weight Issues like most of us do. I have always liked Kirstie Alley and always think she Is beautiful Inside and out.

        • I feel so bad for her. It’s bad enough to gain so much weight, lose it all and then gain it back and then some but when it’s so public it has to be agonizing. I wish I could give her a hug and tell her it’s ok to just start again. I hope her family is supportive. The media sure can be mean.

        • I agree Cynthia. It’s heartbreaking. It’s not like Kirsty lost the weight to show the world she could do it. She did it for herself, and unfortunately she didn’t keep it up, but none of that had anything to do with the public, it’s not like she said one day to herself “Gee, I think I will lose a lot of weight, become a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, make a buck or two, and then get really fat again!” No, I highly doubt that is the case.

        • Well she did say on Oprah that she just got lazy with following the diet and before she knew it.
Hey I feel bad for her too but there are women out there that looked to her as a role model and they bought into it. Again 10 or even 20 lbs I could see. But it was more than 50lbs that she regained in a SHORT time.
I am wondering if her new weight loss program will be free.....

        • But I don’t think you should fallow someone as a role model like losing all that weight, because not everyone Is the same. There are some people who will lose alot of weight and keep it off because they have a stronger will power to do so and then there are people who just cannot keep up that power and just get lazy as she said she did or just give up. It just depends on how much you really want this and how far you will go to do something about It. Maybe I don’t make sence but this is just what I think.
