      Are you??

Are you starting to make up things just to have 5 things to write?

Are you rewording some things that you have written before??

Remember, the only person you cheat is yourself. No one said this was going to be easy. I know for me it is a matter of changing the way I have been thinking for my entire life.

When you write in the Gratitude Diary, take a minute or two to write something you are truly grateful for, something that you brightens your world, something you haven’t acknowledged before.

        • This is a good reminder Annie. I know I am grateful for even the smallest things sometimes. Which doesn’t mean I am not grateful for the “bigger” things either.

        • I know it’s making me stop and think about things.

I know that since I’m not writing them down on paper that I probably do repeat things now and then, but only because it’s something on my mind on a particular day.

        • Yes, I did that with one of mine yesterday and as I wrote it I felt a little twinge of guilt, knowing that I was just reworking something I’d used.  Sort of plagarizing myself!

        • I’m conscious of the effort to not repeat myself. It would probably help writing them down to be sure I don’t, but right now I don’t really have the time. I’ve got to get a move done & over with soon. ;oD

As for gratitude, I know it sounds bad but lately it is hard to find things to be grateful for.

        • Mz Tracy, maybe tomorrow, maybe in a few days, maybe next week you will feel some gratitude for the simple pleasure of waking up and still alive. Please don’t feel alone in having to hunt up reasons to be grateful. And today my 6th reason is... there’s You! ;oD

          Love ya,

          Cathie

        • Like all of you sometimes it is hard to find things to be greatful for but its the little things that we forget sometimes that make are life either more beautiful or easier.

like this morning I was grateful that my husband picked up coffee cream for my coffee last night ( I hate drinking it with milk) and I love to sit and have a coffee in the morning before I go about my busy day.estatic

That I get to spend a few more days with my daughter before she goes on her 3 week trip.

My new lavender bush on my sun deck that I smelled on the way out the door this morning.

Driving into work with my husband this morning and not alone.

That I have a job to go to.

        • I also try not to repeat myself, it can be difficult, but doable.

          Today I am grateful for:

The ability to help others that need it.

My hub turning 50 tomorrow when some women’s hubs pass away or they don’t have a man to count on.

My “happy” pills, and yes, I have tried to do without, but I know that they are crucial to my well being.

A person that commented on my tattoo, saying it was quite beautiful, that made me smile as I feel it is part of who I am.

A well balanced meal tonight as there are others who cannot afford to put a nutritious meal together and that makes me feel very sad!

        • I’ve had a hard time trying to come up with new things, until I sat outside last night before a storm hit.  I listened to the crickets chirping and was grateful that I was able to hear them.  There is so much for me to be grateful for.  I just have to remember what they are.

        • heart I think I try to find different things. But to be honest maybe I am cheating myself by rewording things. Because the one thing I’m grateful for everyday is that day.
But your right there has to be more. So I will try harder.
Ty my friend for the reminder!!!
          Hugs

on my twitter I follow Ralph Marston which does the Daily Motivator and he is excellent.

So my Twitter and Facebook time line are filled with positive motivational comments plus Neicy does some amazing inspiring quotes and thoughts and these also reach out and touch me

The other week I had hit the brick wall mentally , physically , emotionally and came on here and there across the pond is Neicy posting all this inspiring stuff I’m sat reading , crying and thinking so I asked her to be a prayer warrior to get me through this deadlock and yes it helped and I owe her big time ......
