The basic keywords for lucid dreaming are the four " I " Invitation, Inspiration, and Inscription. Following there simple steps you too can control your dreams.
1# INVITATION: Preparing Your Mind. Center and still the mind. Try to claim your mind and clear it of any mental chatter. It may take practice to be able to achieve mental calmness, but it is well worth it.
2# INTENTION: The Objective. Formulate a simple, clear statement of what exactly you want to achieve in your lucid dream. Try to avoid negative intentions toward anyone. Strengthen and focus your desire by repeating it in your mind, or writing it on a piece of paper.
3# INSPIRATION: Take An Active Roll. In a calm state, visualize yourself drifting off on a boat down a calm river. Experience being carried and led, and do not resist the flow of the rivers current. Allow yourself to be carried.
4# INSCRIPTION: Make Mental Notes. As you drift into sleep, remain verbally and visually aware of the dreams details. Articulate what you're seeing. For example, In your dream say aloud " A house, it has red tiles, Some are covered in green moss" The more you spell out what your experiencing, the better.
After you dream gently awaken. While you're still asleep, take a minute or two to collect all of the dream details, before waking up completely. Experienced lucid dreamers are able to choose the moment at which they leave the dream state for the real world.
EASY DREAM CONTROL: 1# Master your heart beat. Control your breathing and relax your mind. During the day do something to get your heart rate up. Then mentally make an effort to, master an reduced heart rate. When preparing for sleep, breathe in and hold your breath for eight seconds. Repeat this 5 or 6 times. The more you do this the easier it becomes.
2# STAY FOCUSED. As you drift off to sleep, continue to restate what you hope to experience in your mind.
3# GO WITH THE FLOW. Try to remain spontaneous and accept any imagery that your unconscious mind offers up.
4# PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS. Pick up on all the dream details and then start your mental note taking all over again.
