Britney Spears’ much-hyped new album, Circus, is set to drop December 2 and MTV’s documentary on her, “For the Record,” airs on November 30 at 10 p.m.

In an interview for the special, Britney compares her life to Groundhog Day, the movie starring Bill Murray, whose character repeats the same day perpetually:

"There's no excitement, there's no passion. I have really good days, and then I have bad days... Even when you go to jail you know there's a time when you're gonna get out. But in this situation, it's never ending. It's like Groundhog Day every day."

Britney Spears continued to philosophize: "I think it's too in control. If I wasn't under the restraints I'm under, I'd feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it's like they hear but they're really not listening. I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free.”

We have no idea what she’s even talking about, to be honest, although we are reminded of The Office quotes in which the Dunder-Mifflin Scranton employees pretend life is better in jail than work... where they must do the same things every day.

        • I haven read the book but from what Im reading above its obvious that Brittney Spears is in a prison of her own creation and making.

I remember Elvis Presley and he was so.. much a talent and had so many body guards, he wouldnt walk with out them.. he would rent theatres and night as he could not have a real existance or life during the day.

Brittney has the same problem.. and her handlers are the ones she answers to and are her wardens..

She has lost her heart, her children, her mind.  But she is still a great talent.

Im hoping she can get her life together.

You know just the other day we were discussing my niece whom divorced and has been dating supper wealthy men.. but just yesterday brought a policeman friend of hers home to visit her mom.

People dont realize that super wealthy living is not normal.. and although you have jets, parties, limos, hot cars, best foods, clothes, papparazzi, servants, assistants ... Its not a normal life.

Ive dated all the above, its interesting but turned me off, as I love normal.. I want to go shopping and be alone in my thoughts.. I want to drive and be one of a crowd or alone on a beach.. Brittney is followed all the time.

She does not have NORMAL.. she needs it.. but probably will never have it again.

        • I agree...the normalcy of a celebrity is pretty much over!

We want to know everything about celebrities. We have never met or seen them in person, but we have a great interest in their lives.

We try to know know every thing about them, even their private lives which they try to keep secret because sometimes we think that our own lives are very ordinary.

However, we think that the lives of celebrities are different from ours. We think they have something special which we can never have because we see only their outer lives, like their talent.

We cannot know about anything other than this outer life, but once we come to know these things, then we want to know more. We wonder about both the inner and outer lives of celebrities who seem to be special.

However, I think that the celebrities also think that their real lives are ordinary. They are the same as us. They just had the fortune to become famous. so, if their lives are now special, so are ours.

We don’t need to know everything about them, and, in fact, we don’t have any right to do so. Maybe they don’t want to reveal their lives to everybody, just as we would not like to.
