This is my “bitch” today.  I came across this website and sent the site owner an email.  Check out Norman’s website @ The DMV Is Broken - [Link Removed]

Here’s my email to Norman -

      Norman,

I came across your website while on Google searching for "CA DMV Reform."  Kudos to you!!  I couldn't believe your story about your medical emergency and the DMV!!  I swear the CA DMV wants to control our entire lives!!  This has to stop.

I'd like to know how long some of the CA DMV policies have been on the books and how often they are reviewed and revised.  This is something I want to pursue.

I thought I would share what I experienced and why I'm on the "band wagon" to create DMV reform!!

I haven't had a ticket or accident in years.  Nothing on my record, free and clear.  Well, I had my first minor California "fender bender" in a parking  lot a few weeks ago.  No big deal, I have insurance and they'll take care of it and that will be the end of it. WRONG!!  Then I learn that if the damage is more than $750.00 you have to report it to the CA DMV. I thought holy cow, soon they will want my unborn child.  Just kidding, no unborn child here.

This really has made me mad.  I haven't reported it to the DMV yet.  Why?  One, I don't have the estimates to know if it's over $750.00 and two, call me rebellious but this is ridiculous!!!  Come to find out you have 10 days to file the report and when received the DMV puts a notation on your license that you've had an accident.  The deadline has passed for me because the estimates are not complete and my adjuster hasn't call with the totals.  So if you don’t see me around you’ll know the DMV came to get me. lol

Well I'm going to the DMV today, my third trip!!!!!!!!!!  It's for another issue, to add my name to our truck title.  The website doesn't have clear instructions so it has been trial and error.

I'm originally from Oklahoma and expressed to my "better half" that the CA DMV has so much control.
      It is crazy!!

Thanks for listening and if you have any suggestions for me, please feel free to email me.

      Sincerely,
      Leslie Freude

        • Yes, CA DMV has too much control and CA has to much control over our lives. Look at the issues they want us to vote upon for November. This is the plastic state.
          Plastic- VISA
          Plastic - Surgery
          Plastic - People

I am from CHICAGO, where we run our city and state.

We have a say so, here it’s all about CELEBRITY and CASH.

Do not fear the DMV, DON“T REPORT IT JUST FIX IT.
