I am wondering where’s your cat’s litter box is located.  Currently it is in my office for I when I first got Mikito home, the office was the only area he was allowed.

Now, I am typing to you and breathing in REALLY fresh air (NOT)... So I am thinking of relocating that box.

        • Bathroom. Definitely the bathroom. I don’t spend a whole lot of time there, and when I do go in there, it’s either for getting cleaned up, combing hair, etc., or for the business of nature (so to speak). There’s a vent fan in there to carry off noxious odors, and it’s easy to clean with the tile floor.

          Good luck!
          happy

        • In the hallway by the back door...I also use the disposable litter boxes...they seem to be better and don’t let off that awful odor as much...cost a bit more but worth it.

        • Mystic: thanks.. unfortunately, I do spend time in my bathroom to a point that I have ring mark.  Unless I am having a stingy contest with my kitty.  haha.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Karyn: not hallway for me.. the whole house will spell.

I am thinking of putting it in the garage but husband does not want to put a cat door in the wall.

        • CD in my old house I kept the litter box in the garage. We installed a kitty door from the kitchen into the garage. It only took about 2 hrs and a few treats to train them thru the door. After they were trained it was funny to watch them because they would sit on one side looking thru waiting for the other to finish their biz. Even tho I had 2 boxes out there...

        • We have 3 litter boxes. Two are in the basement and the other one is in the garage off the kitchen. Since my husband has to have a pristine garage, floors painted and all during the warmer weather we leave the door off the kitchen hallway to the garage open. They also like to look out the back door and side window too. The cats know to go into the house when they hear the garage door start to open.

        • The litterbox is in an alcove area near the furnace, in the finished basement, and she LOVES it there....the furnace noise doesn’t bother her at all....knock on wood!  Out of sight, it is.

Also, I scoop the box twice a day to keep down any odor.
