    • Last week, I had a client of mine tell me about the benefits of cinnamon and that it helps with weight loss.  I decided to look into this and I have discovered a delicious formula for weight loss using cinnamon and honey with boiling water.

Starting tomorrow, I am going to begin this formula and I will blog about any benefits and weight loss that I have.

Here is the information to put together the cinnamon & honey mixture:

Please be advised that you should not pour the boiling water over the raw honey as it will lose it's enzymes and you will not have effective weight loss. Follow correctly and you will lose the weight. Here is the correct version of the recipe below:

Cinnamon and Honey formula for weight loss:

This should be prepared at night before going to bed.

      1. Use 1 part cinnamon to 2 parts raw honey. 1/2 tsp cinnamon to 1 tsp honey is recommended but can use more or less as long as in the ratio of 1 to 2. — so 1 tsp cinnamon to 2 tsp raw honey is ok too as an example.

      2. Boil 1 cup...that is 8 oz of water.

      3. Pour water over cinnamon and cover and let it steep for 1/2 hour..(30 minutes)

      4. Add honey now that it has cooled. Never add honey when it is hot as the heat will destroy the enzymes and other nutrients in the raw honey.

      5. Drink 1/2 of this directly before going to bed. The other 1/2 should be covered and refrigerated.

      6. In the morning drink the other half that you refrigerated, but do not re-heat it; drink it cold or at room temp only.

Do not add anything else to this recipe. No lemon, no lime, no vinegar. It is not necessary to drink it more times in a day; it is only effective on an empty stomach and primarily at night.

This works for most people. Inches are lost before any measurement on the scales. This program will cause significant inches lost...but you will reach a plateau and may not lose anymore. This is because the cinnamon and honey cause a cleansing effect in the digestive tract and cleans out parasites and other fungus and bacteria that slow down the digestion...causing a toxic build up. (Lowers pH) Once this is all cleaned out then you will most likely have the weight loss slow down.

Other side effects from a cleansing can occur because of toxins being released...if this occurs, cut back on how much you use or take a break.

Additionally people report increased energy, more sex drive, and feeling happier/mood enhancer.

*NOTE: The honey used needs to be REAL RAW UNPASTEURIZED HONEY. If it says PURE honey it is most likely pasteurized. It is best to only buy honey that says RAW or UNPASTEURIZED on the label. The difference is that the enzymes are all heated out of the pasteurized honey.

        • Before I write about possible side effects, I want to first add some information about the benefits of this cinnamon and honey formula.

          Here is more interesting information:

The Effect It Has on the Body

According to materials and articles recommending this diet aid, this mixture of cinnamon powder and honey stops the body from accumulating fat.

Other explanations include the fact that honey is an antioxidant and does all kinds of good things for the body.

Cinnamon is said to influence blood sugar and the way it's processed, giving your body a better chance to break it down in such a way that it doesn't turn to fat. It is said that abdominal weight is more sensitive to cinnamon's effects than other body weight.

Other Uses of Honey and Cinnamon:

Experts across the world have researched the effects of honey and cinnamon on the human body. They have discovered several uses and applications that help to cure common discomforts and diseases.

          Heart Disease:

A paste of honey and cinnamon powder eaten on bread regularly for breakfast can help cure or reduce the impact of heart disease. The mixture lessens the cholesterol produced and found in the arteries, helping to stave off a heart attack. Additionally, residential care facilities across the United States and Canada have found that a diet including honey and cinnamon helps strengthen the arteries
          and veins of their patients.

          Arthritis:

It’s reported that a paste made of one part honey to two parts of lukewarm water with a teaspoon of cinnamon will help reduce pain when rubbed into the affected area. Also, experts suggest taking one tablespoon honey and a half teaspoon cinnamon powder before breakfast. This is said to reduce pain and help with flexibility.

          Hair Loss:

To help stimulate hair growth, apply a paste of one tablespoon of honey, hot olive oil and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder before taking a bath or shower. Effects are said to be experienced with even five minutes worth of application, although 15 minutes are recommended.

          Bladder Infections:

Germs are destroyed in the bladder when two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey are mixed and consumed.

          Toothache;

An ailing tooth can be benefited by applying a paste of one teaspoon cinnamon powder and five teaspoons of honey. This should be applied three times per day until pain is gone.

          Additional Uses:

There are several other potential uses for this combination of ingredients. Experts indicate that the common cold, infertility, upset stomach, gas, immune system complications, indigestion, influenza, longevity, pimples, skin infections, cancer, fatigue, bad breath and hearing loss are all positively impacted by the use of mixtures with honey and cinnamon powder as primary ingredients.

        • More interesting facts about cinnamon!

In the Bible, Cinnamon is referred to as "Cassia." It is mentioned in a prophecy about Jesus Christ: Psalm 45:6-8 - Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom [is] a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
All thy garments [smell] of myrrh, and aloes, [and] cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad. (Psalm 45:8)

The Dutch owned the monopoly of the trade of Cinnamon, and it was not cultivated until 1776, owing to Dutch opposition and the belief that cultivation would destroy its properties. Cinnamon is now largely cultivated. Between 60-80% of commercial Cinnamon is grown and harvested in Sumatra, Indonesia. It is also grown in Ceylon, Malabar, Cochin-China, Brazil, Mauritius, India, and Jamaica.

Cinnamon was used in ancient Egypt for embalming. In ancient times, Cinnamon was added to food to prevent spoiling. During the Bubonic Plague, sponges were soaked in Cinnamon and Cloves and placed in sick rooms. Cinnamon was the most sought after spice during explorations of the 15th and 16th centuries. It has also been burned as an incense. The smell of Cinnamon is pleasant, stimulates the senses, yet calms the nerves. Its smell is reputed to attract customers to a place of business. Cinnamon in sachets will repel moths.

        • HONEY FACTS:

          Honey facts.......

Do not buy the regular store honey, they cook all the nutrients out of it, get local honey or honey from the health food store.

try honey. Honey's antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties can help improve your digestive system and help you fight disease. Start every day with a spoonful of
honey and lemon juice from half a lemon into a cup of hot water. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with a cup of warm water for a mouthwash. Honey treats yeast infections, athletes foot and arthritis. It inhibits the growth of certain
bacteria and helps keep external wounds clean and free from infection. Use it on wounds, burns & cuts. Honey is that it is able to help treat sore throats due to its antimicrobial

In a study, 25 people were told to eat between 4 & 10 tablespoons of honey, depending on their weight, each day for a month. They could eat the honey in almost any form, but it couldn’t be baked or dissolved in tea. Antioxidant levels significantly rose in the participants. In another study, researchers checked the blood of 25 men over 5 weeks. They found drinking 4
tablespoons of honey mixed into a 16-ounce glass of water improved the antioxidant levels in their blood. There was no weight gain in anyone & some claimed eating honey for breakfast actually made them feel full and satisfied.
Darker honeys have higher antioxidant content than lighter honeys. Honey has a low calorie content, has 40% less calories than sugar & it does not add weight. Honey diffuses into the bloodstream in 7 minutes. Its free sugar molecules make the brain function better since the brain is the argest

        • I remember when I used to do the apple cider vinegar, honey and water. But this sound much more beneficial all the way around. I am a 2yr BC survivor and if this can keep it away, I’ll try it. Just the fact that it cleanse is worth using it. Maybe I’ll give it to my BF, enough though he doesn’t need it, he’s slim enougn but he can use the cleansing.

          Thank you!

PS I just joined and already I’ve found this beneficial!

        • Hello everyone!

Yes, it must be raw UNPASTEURIZED HONEY, which is normally found at health food stores, such as Whole Foods.

No, I am not actively exercising so whatever weight loss that occurs, it is from the formula!

About one week after beginning this formula and losing about 3 lbs., I temporarily stopped using this formula when I came down with a bad cold and fever.

In the meanwhile, my order arrived with the cinnamon capsules by NSI that contain 500 mg of natural cinnamon bark.  For at least one week, I have been taking one capsule about 2-3 times per day.

This morning, I decide to make my cinnamon honey formula and start taking this every morning and night on an empty stomach.  This formula should be taken at least 30 minutes prior to eating.

If you can NOT find raw unpasteurized honey, I recommend a website that I purchase most of my wellness products.  It is called Vitacost and the website is www.vitacost.com.  This website sells DISCOUNTED quality products ranging from supplements, organic food, snacks, tea, bath & body products, skin care products and many more.  I love the fact that I save so much money by purchasing my products here, instead of locally.  Simply go onto this website and type in raw honey or unpasteurized honey to get the complete list of various honey to consider.  Regular shipping and handling is $4.99, which takes under one week to arrive at my house.  If you are in a hurry, there are other shipping options to try, but they cost more.

As for weight loss, I stopped weighing myself AFTER I got sick, but I will start weighing myself daily to keep track of my weight.

Let me give the cinnamon honey formula another week and I will comment back to what is going on.

Feel free to ask questions or add comments!

        • I do a similar cleanse with raw honey, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper. Using cinnamon makes sense because it will help to keep your blood sugar level.

        • godsglamorgirl, we have started this diet too. But the thing you didn’t mention straining the cinnamon water and if you add honey cold it doesn’t dissolve. So maybe our formula is wrong and i know now we have the wrong kind of honey. We have seen some of the benefits already.

How did you use the cinnamon capsules?
