This reality show called the Cougar debuts on the TVLand channel on April 15th. Anyone planning on watching it?
I saw a few previews-it looks like they try not to poke fun at the whole older woman/younger man phenomenon but to really show it as a viable option. After all men have been going w/younger spouses, significant others for years! It’s OUR turn :)
I don’t know if I will watch or not. But, I’ve got to say the older I get the more I am attracted to younger me. I just don’t know if I’d call myself a cougar.
It seems like a negative word, right diva mom?
It also can be used in such a shallow way :(
I am not sure if I want to watch it or not. I am eleven years older than my boyfriend of 3 years. Unless we discuss things that happened in the early 80’s, I never notice a difference. I don’t think he ever thinks about it either. I will say that this is the best relationship I have ever been in. I was married for almost 13 years to a man 2 months older than me. He was so “old” by the time we divorced. His idea of a nice time was to sit on the porch, drink beer and play his banjo. I kid you not. I was proud of him for learning to play an instrument, but that is all he wanted to do, or discuss. My boyfriend is knowledgeable on many subjects and will continue to learn and grow, which helps me to learn and grow as well. The true fountain of youth!

We are speaking of the show Courtney Cox is on, right? If so I have always watched it and it was quite good and funny and if a relationship works it doesn’t matter if the woman is older than the man. I think it’s a great show. I may have my shows confused because you said, it’s called Cougar, but the other one is called Cougar Town which is really good.
i have not sat and watched it over here, just glimpsed it as i was surfing the television channels. not my kind of viewing. if i lived my life on accepted group or media norms then i am sure i would be a very unhappy bitchy kind of gal. please excuse my language.
