I am a Curves Manager and it is Wonderful.
It’s a total body workout. The Curves circuit works every major muscle group while elevating your heart rate to your target zone for a full 30 minutes.

Curves Circuit combines cardiovascular and strength training so you lose weight and gain muscle.

The Curves workout is a complete workout that gives you all five necessary components to work every major muscle group two muscles at a time: warm-up, aerobic exercise, strength training, cool down and stretching.

Log in www.curvesinternational.com and find the closest Curves near you and make an appointment for a free complete body and strength assessment.

        • I am also a curves member and I totally love going there.
I joined almost 2 years ago and have lost 35lbs and I feel so good.

        • I was thinking of joining a Curves to get in shape and to meet friends, since I am new to the area.

My concern is if I can keep up with the group’s pace since I have fibromyalgia.  I am wondering if it wil be too physical for me.  I would love any input.

Also, does curves have a sauna or steam room in their facility, or is it strictly a come in, exercise, and leave.
          Also, what is the cost?

          Hugs-
          Dianne

        • I was a fitness instructor at Curves for about six months when I lived in Grand Cayman.
It’s a good program if done correctly and consistently. I like the idea behind eating program as well. If I remember correctly it’s kind of like what you would do in interval training your body. Initially the food portions are continually changed so that your body doesn’t have a chance to adapt to a certain pattern so that you don’t plateau.
This combined with the 30 minute interval training on the fitness machines is a good way to go as it is not about trying to do too much too fast and maintaining your heart rate.
It’s also good that there is an instructor that constantly monitors the members to make sure they are using the equipment correctly.
You can go at your own pace as you only stay on any given machine for I think 60 seconds.
I don’t think any of them have saunas or steam rooms they are franchises and have to be set up along certain guidelines. As far as I know.

        • Hey girls they are franchises but everything inside of Curves has to be Curves approved and saunas and steam rooms are not approved.

Dianne67 -- I do have several women with fibromyalgia and believe me they are glad they are working out, don't worry.... Cost? well across the board it is different in different areas due to taxes, please feel free to call you local Curves and just go in and check them out, the first visit is free.

Almostfive0——- You explained the weight loss program perfect! The time you are on the machines or recovery pads is 30 seconds. I would love to have you on my team here in Virginia
