Do dogs have souls?

I’ve had a dog throughout my life, ever since I was a little girl, and each dog had their own unique personality.  

This has always fascinated me.  

If a dog is merely just a dog then where does their personality come from? Did my past dogs mold their personalities to the different stages of my life? And what about this unexplainable connection some people speak of...between them and their furred ones...a spiritual connection?

Do you share this phenomenon with your fur face?

I do, but I’m not sure what it is.

Now that I’m in my forties, I’ve taken all the inspiration that my past dogs have given me, along with the muse of my present dog, Xia, and composed a fantastical explanation for this phenomenon with a book titled:
