Watch the trailer for the GLOW Project and tell me what you think?  Do you GLOW?

        • Amy, I watched the trailer and I got goose bumps, and then I ordered the movie. I can’t wait to get it. This looks exciting and very inspiring.

Now, this is the kind of message I have been looking for.  I think every woman should be issued this DVD on their 40th birthday.  I thought of so many ladies here on Fab40 who are in great need of hearing the message held within it.

It holds everything that my company AWE-A Woman of Elegance stands for also...this is indeed a movie that shows women of elegance...women of excellence, significance and grace...living lives of success and abundance.

        • The trailer only gives you a taste of what is in the DVD.  But the answer to your question is...since I have seen the whole movie...Yes!  They always had the GLOW...and it has gotten stronger as they have grown and matured, while meeting and working with other women who GLOW. Most of these women’s stories are really quite amazing...several are women who came from absolutely nothing, poor childhoods, broken marriages, one was labeled as mentally retarded when she was child, while another was told she had terminal cancer...her husband left her with two small boys...she decided that death was not an option...another was born in China and left at the hospital after she was born because she was the second born daughter...she was never wanted by her parents. Should any of these women have a reason to GLOW?...not really...but they did.

I believe the point behind the movie is...out of adversity women have the power to GLOW (find their power) and when we embrace the GLOW, use it to move toward fulfilling our dreams, we then need to pass it on to another woman...so she can GLOW.

I understand your questioning this because I thought the same thing when I first saw the promo at MORE magazine. I went with a cynical attitude also...even had one after I watched the trailer...but was interested enough to hear what these women had to say...yet after watching the DVD...I no longer questioned its intent...it spoke to me in many ways.  I could consider this...it is not a bunch of rah-rah...blowing a bunch mid-life positive BS up your...you know what.  But that is just my humble opinion.

        • I watched the video it is indeed inspiring. But I’m grateful to God that I GLOW now in the abundance of his love, but if there is a struggle that I have it’s just trying to make a little extra money, and one day it will manifest and I will be doing what I love at the same time.

        • Thanks so much for sharing this video. I just went to a psychic today. Something I’ve never done and she (aka Rev. Uki MacIsaac, who when not visiting the big island lives in San Diego) gently suggested that perhaps I’ve been denying my intense & powerful glow capacity and must go out and find new vistas to conquer. Somewhere in South Carolina or Northern California which is really odd since I live in Hawaii and until this afternoon thought I loved my life completely. However, I must admit, the only glow I get these days is from surfing and my mind, my soul, and my inner small business owner are all feeling way too soggy, so yes, I do believe it’s time for me to Glow For It. Whatever IT is.

        • How cool is all of this...I have always known that I had a power within me...it is there...people see it...but I just haven’t believed it.  I tend to be a humble a soul...imperfect in every way, believe me. I rejected the GLOW because I thought it may be mistaken as pride or self-absorption...and maybe it was or is.  I never quite understood why I couldn’t easily bond with certain women, but could bond with women that knew this power themselves.  It is a power that radiates.  Some women are attracted to it like a moth is to a flame, while others are threatened by it...and are repelled.

I rediscovered my power or my GLOW when I went through my Mid-life Crisis a few years ago.  I had neglected this part of my spirt for several years.  I had allowed my marriage, family and home suck it out of me...I emphasize...I...allowed it.  I blame no one else but myself for the GLOW to slowly diminsh to the point that it almost went out.  I got it back!  The GLOW ended up saving me!

I do not have a story of severe illness, poverty, bad upbringing, divorce or tragedy...but I have gone through struggles.  I have been blessed.

I worked through the things that have kept me down, whether it was a mother who was never supportive, bad decisions when I was young, the loss of a loved one, an abusive first marriage, the burden of being a military wife with five children.

When the going got so tough that I thought that I would die from the depression that I was in...it was the power within me...the GLOW that lifted me up and out of the pit of despair.  It was the gifts and talents that God placed within me and called me to use at this moment and time.  It was the knowledge that God saw my GLOW and now wanted me to show it to the world.  He called me to take the bushel off my light and let the GLOW shine for Him...and for all to see.  He then called me to help other women and men do the same.

This is why I write...this is why I am here...this is why I have a forum for women in MLC...this is why I love being here at Fab40!  This web site GLOWs every day with women who are willing to share....to touch another’s candle, so they can shine also.

We are blessed!  I consider it a priviledge to be GLOWing with all of you...together we are beacon of light!
