My hubby has this guy he grew up with/ went to school he considers his best friend, it still behooves me as to how he determined this with this guy, for as long as I have been in my hubby’s life I have yet to see what makes this guy his best friend. I personally don’t care for him and I dispise his wife.

        • My hubby has 2 best friends...they were in our wedding...and that’s the first and last time I’ve seen them...But they made our wedding day awesome...Very upstanding men...Both are married...Wives are real nice too...One has children..the other has been trying to have kids..to no avail...that’s part of the reason why we don’t get together with them much...She was pregnant the same time I was and lost the baby...She’s not taking this very well..understandable

        • I think you all know about “the drunk” guy.  He still drinks but he NEVER comes around anymore.  Whew is all I can say.  He speaks to my husband on the phone and they work on equipment and stuff but that’s about it.

He has many acquaintenances that I am fond of but not anybody he really hangs with.

        • My hubby does not have too many friends either.  One best friend of his lives 5-6 hours drive away and he was the Best Man in our wedding.  Others are ok.  Others are priests.  I know ALL of them.  One lives in MN, and he said he wanted to come and visit which I am not too fond of.  I asked my hubby if he comes, takes him camping and not in our house.

        • Ha ha Neicy!

My brother, Danny, had a best friend like that named Steve. I never could understand what my brother saw in this guy....my sister and I referred to my brother’s friend as “Eddie Haskel” from “Leave it to Beaver“. Steve was so nice and sweet around grown-ups, but the exact opposite around us. Anyway, my brother asked Steve to be his best man when he got married. So at the wedding, everyone wanted a toast from the best man. Steve didn’t like the woman that my brother married, so he stood up and said “Here’s to Danny” and that was it!!!!! I didn’t get it and neither did my parents!

        • I was married to my ex husband for 19 years.  His best friend had become one of my favorite people and friends through the years.  After the divorce, I felt that it may be inappropiate for me to contact him.  He was my ex husbands friend first and I didn’t feel his wife would like a now single women talking to her husband.
