    • I have a confession to make. I’m selfish. Maybe not the typical stomp the feet and demand my way kind, or sulk and pout till someone gives in kind. But I have my own particular brand of selfish, and most of the time I’m quite aware of it.
Most of the time. And that’s where the dream comes in. And you all.

Recently I requested prayer for understanding of a recent dream I had. The Lord has used dreams many times through out the years to teach me things, usually about myself. This time was no different. But let me tell you the dream.

You know how it goes, your at home, but it’s not your home, and the people are people you know and love, but they‘re not the same. In my dream I’m at home. In my backyard there are several large cages, five or so, lined up side by side. In 3 or four of the cages are dogs. Our dogs, but not. In 2 of the cages are young lions-one in each. In the dream it’s understood that it’s our daughter’s responsibilities to feed the animals. But in my dream she is about 16 years old. In real life she is 26, and lives in another state.

I ask her, "Have you fed the animals yet?" and in true teenager form, she casually says "Not yet, I'm going to pretty soon." I replied "If you don't feed them what you want them to eat when they get hungry, they will eat what you don't want them to eat  later!" Implying the lions will eat the pets.

End of dream. Not so profound. I pretty much blew it off. Not another thought about it. Until later on that morning.

      To be continued.
